Well without Thomas in the picture we wouldn't have railway preservation at all it was because of the Railway Series people were inspired to wanna keep history alive Glad Thomas was apart of that god speed and dry rails for all the railways of the world without them the world wouldn't have grown to what it is today.

Thomas has certainly had its influence on the preservation scene. However, railway preservation was certainly around before Awdry began writing, so I don't think its fair to attribute all of railway preservation to Thomas. It was good to see him in the video though- nice way to tie in the 80th and 200th anniversaries
