But at the end of the day they will use all of that to find a way to be a victim and throw ALL the blame on someone else. I live in East Oakland Cali. Been here since 90. I’m 34. This is a bad narrative they’re putting out. Oakland is not a city where all crime is legal. Same shit that happens in New York is happening in Cali, more or less in different areas but same stuff. Why would anyone wanna live in NY with all the violence that be out there ? Same reasons why people love to live in Cali, especially the Bay Area. Every city and state has its good and bads. The media normally only show one side, which is the violence and poverty side. It’s a lot of great areas that never get talked about enough. They only want to exploit the negative. A lot of resident who have been living in their homes for decades are getting evicted in astronomical numbers, or other life circumstances. In which they become homeless. Plus people come from other cities and states just to be homeless in Cali. That’s why Tyler seen so many homeless and drug addict people. Most folks never think outside the box of why stuff is the way they are. Don’t let media outlets dictate your thoughts and ideologies. Making Oakland seem worst than what it is. This is a systemic and national government problem. Not just Oakland.

Whenever i go to Oakland in some spots feel like I'm in india. 🤣 And if you're in NYC just say you're from Venezuela. They'll let you off And the homeless problem is by design. It's a racket. These cities encourage dopefiends rather than discourage it. The more homeless your city has the more gov funding you get.

10:50 pops %100 right, its easy and almost inimaginebale for jay to think that someone could have such unfortunate lives were there really seemed like there was no option to better their life. he's watching a video about the hardships of oakland and even still hes saying thigns liek " who doesnt have electricy" and all the ways he mentioned to make money required some kind of easy footing. I know of people who did yes have a small home but that about it, no electricity maybe gas and water at the most. Thankfully he has his pops in his life to teach him better tho

You can’t help them people if they don’t want to help themselves. I want to know a guy who was homeless who had a place to stay in a room in a home but you always wanted me to drop him back off out at the homeless camp because that’s where he wanted to be. You can’t fix these people.

Tbh i go to Oakland twice a year to see friends. I love it out there. Yeah there's trouble out there but idk i still enjoy it out there. Maybe its because i geew up in Chicago and Brownsville, Brooklyn. Im not saying the bay ain't dangerous, im just saying despite its problems i love it. Call me crazy or w/e

Such a feeling of shame when a youtuber you enjoy is able to watch a video of your own family member getting robbed. 1:30 the guy being robbed at gunpoint behind the truck is my uncle, little rundown of the situation, He was chilling outside the back of his resturant talking to his friends when two guys ran up on him one from both sides. So when he went to grab his gun from his waist the guy behind caught him and took it. They stole his chain, gun, wallet and his other two friends wallet. While all that was happening I was right behind the other side of that wall completely oblivious to what was going on

I use to be a mechanic and worked next to a homeless encampment and we always had trouble blocking the parking in front of the shop because people would park and do drugs or sleep in their car. It smelled bad, just a strong odor of piss and BO. I used to give some people the benefit of the doubt and thought some were just down on their luck. The reality is 99% of them are on drugs and just living life to get high.

It’s not just Oakland too, Oakland is surrounded by a hundred other city’s in the Bay Area that are doing the same shit multiple different county’s which lead to Stockton and Sacramento and anything in between and the bay is tapped in with La so it travels down south so Oakland is just one piece of the puzzle

Its Oakland. I only go there for the zoo, airport, Oakland A's games and Zide door church dispensary. My cousin fell on hard times and was living in one of the tent cities and was gunned down. Camera caught his murder and it was on the news and nobody was ever prosecuted. The mayor does nothing. They are reporting that crime numbers are down but that's because most crimes do not get logged in if the police don't come out to a call and write a report. East Oakland is like the wild west. You can do what you want. Cops don't patrol anything but International Blvd. and barely do that. Definitely Democratic policies destroying our urban areas in California.

Oakland messed up cause of the people thats higher up not helping with those that are in need. Some people can’t help they came from a family with parents that was less fortunate or even the broken homes that had drugs involved or even abuse. I was born in Louisiana and came to Oakland when I was 1yrs old and I’m a 80’s baby. When I was a kid growing up Oakland always was fun outside and people wasn’t living on the streets all like that at all. Oakland will never be the same it’s no OG’s or no one Guiding those into the right direction that are out here terrorizing these streets.
