What a pleasant memory about the Sinatra brand. Changing the subject, I was curious what mouthpiece Billy Butterfield used to create the very smooth elegant tone that he had. I know it was a Giardinelli, custom made for him so the name, B-1, I think, doesn't help. I tried to email Chris Labarbera, but I didn't get a response. Alternatively, the same question could be asked about Bobby Hackett's mouthpiece since his tone was aboutthesame9. More importantly, I am curious what similar mouthpieces are commonly available today. Obviously, the horns are important to know too.

@robertg7538 huge question. Billy Butterfield played a Giardinelli "BB-1" For his entire career. Bobby Hackett played a custom Rudy Muck mouthpiece. Legends Brass has recreated many of the famous players' mouthpieces. I have a Legends Brass version of Harry James' mouthpiece. I also have a Legends copy of Bud Brisbois' mouthpiece.
