In this Flushing food tour we try some of the many delicious and affordable foods in Flushing, New York! I love this area, it's the ultimate place to eat, shop and eat! Asian food in Flushing is incredibly affordable and delicious. You can really find all sorts of food from Korean to Vietnamese to Chinese to Taiwanese and MORE! I HIGHLY recommend Pho Hoang (Vietnamese Cuisine and BBQ) on Kissena Blvd. Although they may not fit the budget of $5, they have the best char siu and pho I've ever tried. The broth for the pho (火車頭) is so rich, and a large bowl is only $10 and the char siu has the best balance between meat, fat, and smoky flavor!

Egg tart is so much work. Not only do you have to make a flan custard, you somehow have to make a crispy flaky crust. So it's a mini custard pie in essence.

There is nothing you had that I would not try it all looks so good. The sticky rice ball looks very filling so good value for the money. The egg tart is bigger then the ones here and who could resist them. I would be going over the $5 budget too haha. We live in long island. Today we drove an hour to go to flushing to tried some of the places that you recommend in this video. Some places are closed earlier than others so check the opening hours before you go. It was a great experience and we definitely will go back. Thank you for you video. 10:57 **Zhongzi ("Chinese tamales") are wrapped in banana leaves. The sticky rice at dim sum (糯米鸡) is wrapped in lotus leaves. Zhongzi need to be boiled for hours & lotus leaves would fall apart.

I love all those spots! Corner 28 used to be on the corner before their second floor caught on fire. Their buffet section for lunch box special is amazing. It used to be $5.50 for 3 sides on rice and it comes with either soup or bottle water. I would buy two lunch boxes and have enough for 3-4 meals. I haven't gone back in awhile so I'm not sure they raised their prices. They also sell pretty good dim sum.

Not to be negative or a hater, but I feel you could have went to the many food courts that are available in flushing which definitely have food that cost less than $5. Would suggest even walking on Main Street toward queens botanical garden to find other options that are way cheaper as it is further from downtown flushing. Overall good video just seems like the places you went are all famously known or done by others that visit flushing.

Chi Chi, the green veggie that comes with the BBQ meat rice dish is Choy Sum. It was never $5 for the BBQ meat rice dish, it was nevet $5, it has always been $6.50, Corner 28 is the only place that didn't raise the price.

The Japanese sushi place inside Corner 28 is discounted about 40% after 6.30pm. $9.50 sushi becomes like $5. 旺角 now offers a 無敵义燒rice dish for $6.50 & it is packed with BBQ pork, comes with the green choy sum veggie & a bowl of 例湯 soup.

I used to go to the TaiPan bakery that was near the Chase Bank and get the Hong Kong mini cakes with peanut butter drizzle and sweetened condensed milk and egg tarts when I had a sweet tooth. They used to make them on the spot and they'd be so fresh. I'm so sad they closed down before I moved outta Queens. I know there's another on a block down but their stuff doesn't taste the same.
