Great result, mate. It looks and sounds brilliant. NZ Pilsner is a style I enjoy too. I enjoyed seeing how that yeast performed on a lager. Cheers!

Sounds and looks really great mate! Good to hear you were able to get your hands on the latest harvest of Nectaron. It's a top hop. Cheers 🍻

Just to say love your format of your videos . Before and after with occasional brewing . Hate videos where they don't do the end product... which is the most important bit . Keep up the brewing 👍👍

Glad you did this, I'm doing darkrocks nectaron pale ale kit this weekend and salivating at the prospect of having it rdy for xmas. Nice experiment, be worth doing it again to compare with true lager yeast.

Heard great things about that kit. Hope it turns out well.

@@G-townbrewer yes it's rumoured to be as good as all grain so i couldn't resist especially as their kits are good value.

Looks absolutely super! Can I ask did you sparge the grains? And also if so do you sparge with the treated water or just non treated RO? Great video as ever, cheers 🍻

No, I do full volume, no-sparge BIAB. Probably not the most efficient method, but it works for me. Cheers.

I’ve just taken delivery of my first ever nova lager yeasts just deciding the best way of using it. I have 2 wort chillers the newest looks like yours. I’ve got pressure fittings to fit my hose on my old one but my new one the ends are splayed and a strange size I can’t find any fittings for. I don’t like putting jubilee clips on. What have you done ? Beer looks lovely nice work cheers 👍🍻

I got mine from the Malt Miller and it came with hose lock ends screwed on, so I just had to get a couple of hose locks for my hosepipe. Maybe MM will have any bits you need? Good luck with the Novalager, look forward to seeing your video on it. Cheers 🍻

I Followed this recipe but scaled it down to 5.5 litres with the addition of a bit of Munich and carapils fermented in a pinter 3 using lallemand dimond yeast. I thought this beer was more like a cold ipa if you have ever tried that style. If I did this again I would probley half the amount of hops to give it a more subtle taste rather than it being so overpowering

@@chrisentwistle8625 the style guide for NZ pilsner states moderate to high hop aroma. It also typically has a lower bitterness and has a lower abv than an IPA brewed with lager yeast but I can see the similarities. Make the beer you like to drink though, that’s the beauty of home brew. Hope it turns out well next time. Cheers! 🍻
