😎 Alberto I think the real trick is the vocals!!! I've heard many players play the guitar part, but none sing and play at the same time, that I've heard. Also every time I've heard Jimi do this he played it different. I've been performing Jimi songs 55 years now. My channel is documenting My Jimi songs, My originals, and other covers I've done in my life time. Nobody knows who I am. Jimi and I are connected in life and in The spirit. He called me Highway Child. I also am a distant cousin through the Cherokee Tribe.😎 also I'm from Monterey, CA, one of Jimi's favorite places!

Alberto: This was the most enjoyable guitar tutorial video I have watched. You did an excellent job of demonstrating and explaining the nuances of Jimi's most beautiful piece of work. For me Little Wing is the Holy Grail of Jimi Hendrix music and is a perfect example of how 'less is more'. I still have my 1961 Stratocaster from when I was a kid and I am now 66 years. So, it is needless to say that I have always wanted to master this song and do this guitar justice. One of the parts that has eluded me all these years is that odd "C chord" with the A note slipped in there. I never really knew why it sounded that way even though I typically have a very good ear for picking things out. YOU figured it out and it has brought me closer to my goal of understanding this short but wonderful piece of music. Thank you for sharing your talent and skills.

I have been playing this intro wrong since I was a teenager and I'll be 68 in a week. When I started to learn this, there was no internet, tape recorders were reel to reel and expensive, but every house had a record player - so I learned what I thought was right. Learned errors are hard to ignore. This is the best and clearest instruction on exactly how to play this tune properly.

This is no doubt the best tutorial for this song. All nuances and little details are there explained clearly and with great insight. Can someone please confirm the song is played in standard tuning here? Got my guitar tuned half step flat as most people say jimi played and it doesn’t sound quite right when following along the video guess because of that

Yes, it’s absolutely crazy he didn’t do the tutorial in the proper tuning. You can’t play along with him without tuning your guitar incorrectly. After the big speech at the beginning of the video about how you needed to take his tutorial to get all the detail to play it properly, and he couldn’t be bothered to tune his guitar correctly? You’ve got to be kidding me! Most will come to a tutorial tuned properly and ready to learn. How many are going to stay if the instructor can’t even tune correctly?

Well done!! Definitely one of the best, possibly the best tutorial of the intro out there! Thank you! This is one of those songs where no matter how well I can play it, I feel I can never have it mastered the way I want to play it...there’s always room to find those little nuances here and there that my brain has been latched on to after playing it that way for so many years...it’s almost like (in the wise words of Master Yoda), I have to un-learn what I’ve already learned....and then learn it again using the 20 years of knowledge and feel...and this new thing called the internet that wasn’t around when I originally learned it. After playing along to this video for just an hour, I feel like I have the feel and vibe much, much closer than ever...as well as that little chord you explained right near the end, that is something I could tell I was not getting quite correct all these years....thanks again....now....there’s many hours ahead improving the rest of the song to perfection!

You played it slow and still made it just as musical and magical to listen to as at full speed. Now that is VERY impressive!
