jim LEHMN agreed. While I firmly believe that at the end of the day it's your money and your the one wearing it everyday so buy what you like, white dial Panerais are to be avoided. If you every want to sell it plan on have an extremely hard time finding a buyer and expect to take a huge loss on the resale

that's only when you buy a panerai when you know you can't really afford the damn watch. if you have money, you buy whatever you like. think about it, if one is rich, does he actually think about a resale value of something he buys? what is a resale value?

ugaladigala that's true to a certain extent. However, there is a great number of watch collectors, of all income levels, that resell watches when buying a new piece. Most wealthy people care very much about minimizing depreciation. Like I said above, at the end of the day it's YOUR money and YOU have to wear the watch. So, buy something you like and screw what other people think. Not really sure what to make of your statement about not being able to truly afford a Panerai. A lot of people can truly afford one but still take into account resale value.
