NEWBORN BABY AUTISM TEST RESULTS EXPLAINED

Liam had his genetics appointment. His geneticist did such a good job explaining everything so it's time to go over the results from our newborn baby Liam from his autism testing! Even though it might be too early to see early signs of autism in infants or babies this soon, with already having an autistic child and now possibly an autistic toddler, it was important for us to do this genetic autism test. Regardless of the results we just have to wait to see if he exhibits infant autism signs.

I'm glad that, due to your concerns, he got so much testing done so early. He's going to be okay. You are a pro at dealing with some extra things and now he'll have all those tests he needs. Stay strong, you are awesome, he's going to be okay!

Thank you about being so open about this. Letting people know and be aware if they come across these things themselves in their family. but mostly I love that you show people that not all children with disability are doom and gloom! x My beautiful daughter has a unknown rare genetic syndrome we are still testing for answers and if someone had of told me that this was how things were going to be, when I was pregnant, I may have terminated out of fear and the unknown to me. We did not find out that my daughter had a genetic syndrome until she was 4 months old and they did genetic testing. I'm not lying both me and my husband think she is the most awesome special soul and we actually feel blessed to be her parents. Yes she has disability and medical issues to over come and we are thankful everyday that so far none that can't be treated and despite her hurdles she does well and is a happy little girl. I know there's not a happy story to all children with disabilities though and this can be heart breaking. Showing you and your family's journey with their genetics complexities and talking about the findings is opening people up to the possibilities of family genetics and that not everything is just environmental. I also love that by you allowing people into your family and world, it shows that all doesn't have to be lost if their child is diagnosed with difference.. the journey is different but not always bad. After further testing on myself and husband it has been shown that we have been passing along together, 2 gene variants possibly to our other children, so this has now answered a lot of questions for us about why all our other older children have been mildly affected by autism spectrum disorder, and also we can now let our children be informed so when they have families they have the knowledge to make the decision that truely reflects them and not out of fear of difference or the unknown. Love your channel and your fam 😊 P.S I'm praying for Liam that he doesn't end up having any major health conditions x

The genetic micro deletions are so confusing, our geneticists said that our children had a 25% chance of having a deletion because birthmom was the carrier unfortunately 5 out of 7 have a chromosome deletion. It is great that your medical team is on top of things and not letting things slide, wishing the best for your family!

We're waiting on our micro-chromosomal array plus 20,000 protein something results right now and I'm always so thankful for your explanations even after spending an hour and a half with a third geneticist hearing it all again. They did send me and my husbands DNA this time too (this is our third geneticist, second time going through testing, but more specific testing this time around) so that maybe will be interesting. Anyways, praying about his kidneys, and heart, and health in general going forward! That is a lot for one day (or one year even!). Thank goodness his doctors ordered these tests!

It really bothered me at first when I had my daughter tested for Autism but you know I am glad that I found out that she didn't have it that she was Fragile-X . It breaks my heart every day knowing that I passed it on to her. By the grace of God I got though that. It is nice to see other people out there that have kids like this it helps me know and understand more information about. Thank you so much for your videos they are really helpful. loooove your attitude. you are such an inspiration! i'm not looking for kids any time soon, but i do have curiosities. my husband has aspergers, and from the stories i have heard from my mother in law, he was hell on wheels as a kid. my hubby says he would rather adopt than have his own because he is scared to pass down what he had gone thru as a kid/young adult. i am very much so looking forward to seeing how you go about the genetic testing! my half-brother had his first kid, and she was born with digeorge syndrome and a lot of heart complications. so i'm just overall trying to educate myself... just in case. i would rather be safe than sorry.

Just found you and your family. I enjoyed your vlog very much and will be back to check on ya'll. I found you to be very informative . Until you I didn't know that genetic testing could be done to try to find where and what might trigger autism. There are a lot of people that are totally convinced that immunization alone is the only thing to blame. I never could accept that. I'm not saying it doesn't ,I'm just saying it could be something else. I saw your vlog about you and Lonnie's story. What a wild ride!! Hold on tight babe, the best is yet to come!!

I have an adult son with schizophrenia and 2 sons with no health issues at all. My son with the health issue has had difficulties since his teen years that went undiagnosed. They just seemed like behavior and impulse problems which affected his brothers greatly. My fear is what happens to him after I'm gone. I have had some serious health problems that started the last year or so. How do you handle the unknown of their futures?i don't see a future that has him being able to care completely for himself. I really love watching your videos. It makes me feel not so alone.

While scrolling through &watching a couple of vids I noticed you bathe your 2 y.o. in the morning. Then I remembered a different video where you talked about him having a hard time settling down&going to sleep at night which made me wonder why you don't bathe him at night? It's the perfect ritual to get babies&kids ready for night time. It will help to soothe their muscles and some lavender soap will calm them along with the sound of rushing water. Maybe lower the bathroom lights a little, give him a nice massage with some warm lotion after his bath, a bit of warm milk and a nice book read to him and voila. You have one sleepy baby! It's all about rituals and these steps help him to transition, relax his body and quiet his mind. Again, I haven't watched all your vids so I'm not sure if I've missed something.

my daughter has 15 Q30.13 and i went through a lot of that my daughter had to have an echo and a MRI when she was little she was in physical therapy, speech therapy and devolpemntak therepy. She is almost three and we are talking about developmental preschool in august ( services end at 3 in my state) The hardest part is just the long list of things that could happen. I found out that i have the same micro deletion but what the genetic counselor did for me was she only test for that specific deletion that my daughter has since my insurance was an issue.

I have a chromosomal microdeletion that has led to me having autosomal ( adult) polycystic kidney disease. There's 4 cases of it among my mom's seven brothers and sisters, and I and one of my four sisters have it.. I wish I could magically fix my chromosome issue.. but I can't.

Noah isn't having any Hyperphagia? Our first genetic test showed 3 gene deletions on the 2nd chromosome. We know now that Hes gotten older he has hypotonia and Hyperphagia so somewhere on his first test they missed some deletions or he is just that rare. We had ENT appointment today and surgery is scheduled for tonsil, adenoids, tubes in his ears and soft palate revision. Bc of his hypotonia he has severe sleep apnea. Heart and kidney defects are also associated with his disorder as well. Mama, I know it's hard! Breath!
