I just love how neat this story is. And the fact that the Reverend Wilbert Awdry, the author of this remarkable, astounding, authentic, inspiratively super-fascinating storybook series himself, put his very self along with his buddy, Reverend Teddy Boston, in the series as characters. It's just so quaint how meta the Railway Series really is. And this book is proof superb it is, the same goes especially towards the "Very Old Engines" book. A whole lot of scientific, genuine lore this book series establishes. And that's why it's my number 1 favorite book series in the genre of literature 💯💯💯💯

Brandon The Creator 13 I know, but think about it. We could have stories like 'Tit for Tat, Mike's whistle or even Useful railway' adapted for TV. It would be like how the classic series used to adapt stories into episodes.

I wonder if Rev W Awdry gets his idea for titles from Laurel and Hardy films there's one called Tit for Tat, Bowled out (Stepney the Bluebell engine) and Dirty Work (Duck and the Diesel Engine)
@caboose.203 жыл бұрын
The Reverend had a disdain for Americans, saying as much they would ruin TTTE if brought there. (He was right.) So I don't think he'd based titles from American comedic acts.

Geri Dupre if you're talking about the model series it's probably because of time and money constraints. Recently they've been in the special Sodors legend of the lost treasure and they stared it in to season 20 episodes

Its completely unfeasible to put the eye mechanism in anything smaller. They only barely managed with the Skarloey engines by stuffing it in their cabs.

@stinkyroadhog13472 жыл бұрын
The joke is you're supposed to figure out that the clergymen are Rev Teddy Boston and Rev Wilbert Awdry. Also the UK tend to refer to important people by their title and body build. I.E. Fat and Thin controllers who are Sir Topham Hatt and Mr Peter Sam or Mr Percival in the TVS
