Nice, finally someone shows how its done. I'm planing to build a 25x10 lean to early next year, your videos are a great help.

There's always the greenhouse megastore but the shipping cost will be crazy. I found a local place nursery supply company and picked them up myself. They're called Griffin greenhouse supplies. They have about thirteen locations in different states.

I think the manufacture recommends fastening the poly every 2 ft with a screw so I have most of my framing 2 ft on center and I put in blocks two to three feet apart too. Depending on the amount of snow you get you can have a good pitch to shed the snow off. If you build a V frame type of greenhouse that of course would be better than a flat roof. This polycarbonate can also be bent to build a tunnel type of greenhouse. So it's really going to depend on your framing too.

@NewEnglandgardening I just started that. not sure how many but I am still checking into it

Nice work on your lean-to! Considering one at my house... Why does everyone talk quiet in their videos- I do the same thing- it's like we don't want the neighbors to think we're crazy or something. lol!

Griffin greenhouse and nursery supplies. They have several locations on the east coast from ME to GA

I'm not sure but I think polycarbonate greenhouse panels have a better R value than glass. Whether you can retrofit polycarbonate panels to a frame that had glass I wouldn't be able to tell you that. It's probably easier to work with the poly than glass too.

I agree with you. Since I arrive to Canada any thing I saw in the world to implement as a nice part of the life is 10 if not 15 times harder then anywhere else. I have no idea why so many people believe that Canada is a such great country to live? I think is a huge drag behind the rest of the world in a big time. ANY THING GUYS....!!!

You're such an idiot. Why don't you return to the wonderful US A and quit bitching? Oh, and practice your English while you're complaining.

I wonder where could I get these fasteners with the rubber washers and also the channels for the securing the panels all away around. I live in Canada. Thx

@growing4fun Glad it helps. Its not perfect but its something. I'm still not comfortable with the pitch calculations but I'd check out that easy rafter program thats free for 30 days I think. I didn't buy it but it got me close to the angles I needed. Or just pratice on a piece of scrap wood first. Thanks for watching and for the comment.

How about holding the snow where we live we have lots of it! Would the polycarbonate panels hold good?

You're tight. I was trying to be careful by going slow though. The straight edge was bowing. I should have put a weight on it.

Did you have to use silicon on the roof H channels to prevent water leaks. I am getting ready to install 4x8 panels on the roof of mu wood framed greenhouse using the same H channels you are using.
@NewEnglandgardening10 жыл бұрын
I did not use any silicon. I have a few leaks when it rains hard but it seems to be at wood joints at the corners.

Thank you. My roof is up. A few leaks at the eaves where roof panel joining H channels meets the panel end h channel. Fixed by installing a drip edge under the h channel
@Gsantollo11 жыл бұрын
so basically just frame the structure and then fasten the panels on the outside?
@DaBear195010 жыл бұрын
Menards has a lot of this stuff. Their website is a mess though.The poly is all over the place. I still haven't found the metal extrusions.

@SteveHarpster Hi, Thanks, It seems to be taking me forever to work on it. I'm not savvy enough to know about the ads. I just learned about monetization. Would you happen to know how some people have ads on their channel page? Thank you for your comments.
