Tomac said after the race:'If I'm honest, I was surprised by the pace!' He also said that he thought JH and AC were 'Taking motocross to the next level'The other American riders like Blose and Barcia were well off the pace!Stop making excuses people and enjoy the racing!!!!

Hampshire was a huge surprise for me, he's not even one of our top 10 250 guys over here.
@jamesmccauley3487 жыл бұрын
Rj Hampshire nearly won about 5 moto s over here this year .plus we all forgetting that USA riders all use different fuels the European riders were not allowed ?
@cmv18107 жыл бұрын
Different fuels? No way. Fuel doesn't make up for speed and skill.
@alondite2157 жыл бұрын
They all have to abide by the same FIM rules, including US riders. And let's not forget that GP riders have works bikes, and AMA riders do not.

Gasjer just wants to come to America now 😂 you can see it in his body language he just wants this season over with. Exciting race and it's always fun when the USA and the Euros battle it out. Both are bad ass dudes on dirt bikes

Tomac should make a run for mxgp. Would be fun to see how he does over here. And to all you fanboys with excuses - tomac migth have been 28 seconds faster in moto 1 but he was 29 seconds after herlings and 15 after Tony in moto 2. He was 12th in quali (when it was cooler so the heat and humidity didnt get the EU riders as much) tomacs fastest lap in moto 1 where only 3 hundreds of a second faster than herlings but he was 2 whole seconds after cairoli (who was behind herlings) in moto 2. Mx is not a teamsport so no use talking about which continent is the fastest but cairoli and herlings did show that they are in the top of the fastest in the world and tomac to.
@michaelp22597 жыл бұрын
He got beat 2nd moto bad but I wonder if he didn't lay back a little and settle for 3rdand not want to mess with herlings and cariola bc they were upfront and championship was on line. Just a thought because usually he's just as fast 2nd motos like last year he got 2 bad starts and still smoked everybody as he is the first moto. But none the less both mxgp guys are fast
@graffzon7 жыл бұрын
i know what you r thinking but no herlings and cairoli just had a bad first moto and tomac was really slow on the quali when the conditions where rough. i Think he rode out of his Comfort zone in moto 1 or maybe the fans and State of mind being on his home soil made him ride quicker than usual not to mention that the weather was milder in moto 2 just as on the quali :). Not to bash him but he was to far back to know who was leading in moto 2 and he would not have raced if he felt he would have to hold back :)
@michaelp22597 жыл бұрын
fredde johansson but he smoked them last year and tomac got a terrible start don't think that cairioli is that much faster than tomac is look at lap times from first moto herlings and tomacs lap times tomac ran a bunch of 2:04 and he and herlings ran identical lap time. Don't think that he rode over his head first moto either. But the 2 nd moto he passed the guy for third and could clearly see herlings and ac in front of him he wasn't that far behind when he made the pass for third. Plus tomac has no use to risk getting injured before supercross starts here in US. But not taking anything away from jh or ac they are fast. Was just my opinion that he just rode around for third the 2nd moto. Let the other 2 go at it

chances are that tomac is faster than tc222 over a 20min race but thats not strange cause tc is getting old and tomac is like 8-10 years younger et3 is insanly fast but unfortunatly very inconsistant and thats a shame he is the stereotype of a fast but not at all technical rider. He is the Most aggressive rider ever, even more than Rc and js7 (brings back memories of Larry ward and the 2 stroke Days of pastrana). And i honestly dont Think that ha gave a flying f about the mxgp results, it would be more of a nations battle for him and he knew that tc and jh would be either 1-2 or 2-3 and that it wouldnt affect their standings if he was winning as long as they went 2-3 :)
@michaelp22597 жыл бұрын
fredde johansson I don't think he really cared either bc in his Honda days was lightning fast but wiped himself out way to much. I think I Kawasaki dictates what he does now a days but in return makes him a smarter rider than when he was on the Honda. If he would've holeshoted the 2nd moto like the first he might have sprinted more but hey who knows. I think him and kawi are more concerned for monster energy cup and sx coming up then that mxgp race.

dont forget...american riders practice outdoor for only about 2 weeks out of the year WHILE riding the end of the supercross series...then they race the mx series then practice for supercross for 5 months...
@graffzon7 жыл бұрын
Ben Shandrow and most Europeans cant practice at all for 4-5 months per year. time on the bike is time on the bike regardless if it is mx or sx
@liamvandeseijp69014 жыл бұрын
European terrain is a lot more demanding tho. If an AMA rider raced at Lommel, they’d get cleaned big time. AMA riders are beasts in their homelands, no doubt. But i don’t think they’ll last a whole season racing different European tracks with different soil
@williamneves63507 жыл бұрын
Jeffrey should come race in America he would beat every one he's the second RC or RV
@graffzon7 жыл бұрын
Wesley Neves one of few European riders who would be a top rider in ama from the start. I honestly think American tracks would suit some EU riders better than the tracks here in europe . Riders like nagl, gajser, anstie and even bobryshev would be fast in America cause they have that insane raw speed but are behind tc, jh and febvre when it comes to Tech riding. Nagl is insane, his future will be brigth!. Desalle would do good over there as he did show when he went over and destroyed everyone besides dungey and led over dungey for 2/3 of the race but even desalle is getting old.

That's what they said when Villopoto went into MXGP
@graffzon7 жыл бұрын
Well, I Think its harder to make the Change to race on smaller, rougher technical tracks then the Other way around Americans where the only ones who tougth he would win anything. On the other hand he had amazing raw talent and did quite well from the start so he should be proud!

The AMA 250 class is much faster than MXGP's.
@42creativestudio517 жыл бұрын
Well on american style tracks I'm sure you might be right (in the GP's they run a lot rougher tracks like Lommel and Lierop for example) but it's also a completely different class. For example Zach Osbourne wouldn't be allowed to race the 250 class in the GP's.

Probe your self bro go to AMA if you faster than Tomac and Roczen & Musquin!
@avidangelo88517 жыл бұрын
Dexter diaz he already proved it 2 weeks in a row - in usa. Why not the other way around because i remember the last time an ama champ raced mxgp, he failed. Its tomac who needs to prove himself now.

avid angelo only for outdoor but not indoor!
@avidangelo88517 жыл бұрын
Dexter diaz you have just said ama. Anyway europeans dont care about indoor racing but if they do, for sure there will be a lot of roczens to see on the field.
@michaelp22597 жыл бұрын
Tomac didn't even try at last weeks national he was thinking big picture championship after he crashed bc he had ran herlings down and was about to pass him. But hell Marvin blew 2nd moto by crashing and he ran jh down in the first moto but made a few mistakes that costed him winning the first moto. He smoked them in 2 mxgp races last year. And herlings got beat on a 250 which he had dominated on. By Webb and a damn rookie last year at charlotte mxgp. Besides why would tomac had pushed 2nd moto. After starting around 6th and risk injury chasing jh and tc down when he could just cruise around and get third. He's got sx and monster energy cup to worry about not that exhibition race
@graffzon7 жыл бұрын
Dexter diaz yeah both roczen and musquin are gp guys who went over seas and both have succeded!. tortelli, pichon, vuillimin, chad Reed, Dean wilson, Roger decoster, Jm bayle etc won races and championships in the states and all where european mxgp riders. every american talks about how domimant america always have been in the sport and thats not true at all. Some American riders where dominant between the mid/late 90"s until rc retired but dont forget that the europeans where dominant for 30 years before that and have been now for almost 10 years. mx is not a friggin team sport, the us have had certain insanly good riders and they where in the top not all riders in the us like americans often seems to Believe. When i Think about it even your current 250 champion spent time in mx2gp and he did not make it here. its 2 different types of racing and until an American becomes world champion he cant call him self the best in the world. How could u be the best in the world when u have only raced ppl from your own country.
