News on Halo Flashpoint - Game of the year?

Even though they are scaling up to 32mm, i like that the footprint of the game is only 2x2. That is really the ideal space for the game for me because that means on a regular kitchen table you'll have room for the cards, dice, etc. I'm looking forward to it and hoping they start to release some of the weird covenant aliens eventually.

The card stock terrain also makes it an easy box up and tuck away.

I gave them my money! Pre ordered a Spartan Edition game as soon as I watched a gameplay review. Trying to get a dice set also but the Mantic website won’t let me log in. I wish I’d gotten into Ground Commander and Fleet Battles when they were affordable, but this’ll do.

I preordered mine, spartan edition during the time period they were including a Master Chief model with the orders. I've played Deadzone and really enjoyed it. Rules are pretty easy to pick up and game tempo is pretty quick. Excited for this game.

I'm pretty excited about this game. It's gonna be my first mini war game, as well as most people I'm gonna be playing with. It was real easy to talk my wife into this one too cause she loves Halo! I can't wait to get my hands on this product and get playing!

A bit of a wait, not released until October. You might want to try out Deadzone to get a taste of the rules as that set is what Halo Flashpoint is based on?

Halo Ground Command was the first table top minis game I actually played but I'm a huge fan of the multiplayer in the video games and even developed my own rules using the spartan minis to play like halos multiplayer. Never thought we'd ever get a 4v4 sandbox style game come to the tabletop. Couldn't be more excited and definitely getting the spartan set!

This game is the best thing that could have hapenned to me. I never played Halo (yet). My girlfriend is a big halo fan girl. She played through all of the Halo games with her dad when she was still living at her parents place. She is looking forward to trying this game when it comes out, and I’m looking forward to bringing her a bit into my tabletop hobby and enjoy it together with her. Also I love Deadzone and it’s rules system, so this will definitely play very well. So of course I preordered the Spartan edition plus the paint set for the Master chief mini. It’s a win for everyone!

Pity it's still just a 2 player skirmish. They should learn from Battlespace and give it a solo mode.

Must admit I don't like having squares. I might get some of the miniatures but have no interest in the game.

You should give it a try, it’s actually a really good system. Hey are actually cubes, not squares, which lets you easily move up or down and measure range. Also it actually matters where I the cube you stand. It’s still true Lin of sight for shooting and cover.
