I just lost my mother a few weeks ago. Losing one's mother is the worst feeling one can imagine. You lose your first friend, your first teacher and mentor. Your guardian. That kind hard working soul is no longer there to wish you happy birthday, or merry christmas or anything like that. You'll cry and cry on Mother's Day. It's never fair. It's never fair. Untimeliness in this sort of circumstances is painful and no parent should ever outlive their child, My grandparents grieve and my sister grieves . It is never better. Justice may have been served but that family's pain will be forever. My heart goes out to them.

I lost my mother in November 19, 2017. The pain never goes away. I just became an empty shell. What’s worse is I was in the military and stationed in Germany. I extended 6 months prior with a $10,000.00 dollar Bonus. Had I chosen to go home I could have at least spent some time with her in person because prior to that after getting to Germany I didn’t go home at all. And because of that I hate myself. The first time I came home from Germany was to bury my mother. The emotions I feel inside to this day is unimaginable. Be grateful for what you have before it’s gone.

@@cheshirecat6518 you are mostly correct. I would like to add that some of these “ wrongly “ convicted types are probably guilty of crimes they weren’t caught for. Just guessing of course based on some backgrounds of these types. Innocent people should never be in jail and that is one reason I would be Leary of being on a jury,- the evidence better be damn good.

What a terrible crime that was committed. A innocent life was taken away from her family. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She was a mommy, how could a person kill someone's mother? May God bless this family each and everyday.

This lady once lived in my area. An excerpt from the local paper reads: “Kessler left Butler County in 2004 and has since lived in various states under as many as 18 aliases, according to police. She was reported missing from Butler in 2004 under “suspicious circumstances.”

You know, if real justice were to be served, you'd put her in a locked room with the victim's family for fifteen minutes. No questions asked.

Your comment echoes one when I was 22 & the victim of a mugging resulting in scars still seen 50 years later. When I got home after a surgery to put my face back together, my uncle said “Tell the judge (when the mugger was captured) that he doesn’t have to ponder an appropriate punishment; just put the mugger in a locked room with your uncles for 15 minutes.”

One wrong legal move by police, lawyers, or anyone involved in any way, and a case can be dropped. They have to be very, very accurate in a hundred ways.

@Thomas Hansen treating inmates who rob people, deal drugs, or steal cars, can be rehabbed. Someone who kills someone for pleasure, thrills, attention, jealousy, or power, should have their ghost pulled out their a$$ and shown to them. Rehab is for a crime that can be forgiven. Self harm, can be rehabbed. Killing your kids, should be a fast-pass to a wood shredder. A drunk Driver can be punished and rehabbed. A serial killer can not.
