Wow. love this. I lived in the (Washington) D.C. area in the 70's and 80's. I first saw Schooner Fare at the Birchmere in about 1980. Have seen them a dozen or more times since. God Bless Tom Rowe and (radio personality) Dick Cerri. May they rest in peace in folk heaven.

archive.org/search.php?query=dick%20cerri All the Dick Cerri you want. Actually I have 80 plus hours of tape from the 1980s that I uploaded here. Some of the audio is on KZbin, as some KZbin did not allow due to copyrights. I wish I taped more of his show.

I still live in DC--well MD, actually--and SF is still my FAV-O-RITE band. They're the ones I want to listen to any/every time. They're THE BEST. I see they're gonna be at the Birchmere in spring of 2020. Maybe I'll go! :)

Here in Maryland, I was always sure to catch Chuck, Steve and Tom whenever they drifted in to the Ram's Head or The Barns at Wolftrap throughout the 90's and 2000's. Great guys, great memories.

I first saw these guys as a trio (RIP, Tom, you are missed) back in the late 70s at Minneapolis' Coffeehouse Extempore (now defunct). It was the middle of the week, and only about 30 people showed up aside from my buddy and me. We had a blast! These guys blew us away, and you can bet that a year later when they came on a weekend, they packed the place! I still have a couple of their autographed LPs. Keep singing, guys!

I've only gone to so many, but you bet they still sing to everyone every birthday!

I saw them at the old Passim in Harvard Square. It too was a Wednesday night, but the place was packed. Of course if you’ve ever been to Passim, you’ll know it didn’t take much to pack the place. 😂 Anyway I still remember that particular night being one of, if not the, most fun concerts I’ve ever attended. They were on fire, the crowd was on fire, it was just a magical evening. No one wanted to go home.

My first concert in my life was seeing Schooner Fare at a shiplaunch at Washburn & Doughty shipyard when it was in Woolwich ('78 or '79). Formative in my life and even an influence in my musical pathway. If you listen to the "Alive!" album, you can hear my mom as the loudest voice in the Chocolate Church audience. Yes, we still tease her about that. Thanks Chuck and Steve (you, too, Bill)!

I've been a light fan of Schooner Fare for years, and I had no idea that Schooner Fare had influenced the Portland scene like that until the anchor remarked as such. I know they've done tours, and I bet they're a nice band to know, just like the anchor too! Maine seems like a pretty sweet town.
