I miss the old NewSong and Eddie Middleton. He had a great voice and sang from his heart. Maybe he was singing along with them up in Heaven.

Saw them live a few years ago at Winterjam, and when they sang Arise My Love, I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes.

I saw them about 10 years ago, and they ended on this one. Every person had hands in the air, was singing, weeping, cheering...it was such a phenomenal moment and I'll never forget it.

Have always been a Newsong fan! While my heart aches for the part of the story that Jesus spent those three days retrieving the keys to the kingdom FOR US, not just lying there dead - this is a GLORIOUS song that's hard not to love and just praise God to!! Hallelujah! It's like our generation's How Great Thou Art in powerful performances!

Just seen them in Charlotte NC and they are awesome live. I wish they could have sang more songs but I know WinterJam in limited due to the number of bands and they are the creators of WinterJam which is awesome.

Our local Christian station would only play one Newsong song so at the concert the station hosted, Newsong was pretty much unknown. Out of 17 or so artists that day, this song was the best.

Heard these guys in concert in 1996... this song in particular remains inspiring. May we all arise in the newness of life, and walk in the light.

Continuing my story; that began a 37 year long hell for me. I had gotten involved. I cared. I needed to know something. Did he live? Did he lose his leg? Was he discharged from the military? Did he wish he was dead? I needed to know something. And I hated myself for looking into the rear view mirror. If I had not looked into the rear view mirror, I never would have known such a horrible accident had occurred. I cried hundreds, maybe thousands of times. Why did you look into your rear view mirror? And then in February of 2018, it suddenly occurred to me why. God and Jesus needed me to look into my rear view mirror. That poor man lying on the highway needed me to look into my mirror. His buddies needed me to look into my rear view mirror. They needed someone with a light colored, big car to block someone else from making a terrible tragedy worse. While a 1972 Chrysler Newport is not the biggest car ever made, it was still a tank. If you can't see well enough to avoid hitting something as big as a 1972 Chrysler Newport, you damn sure don't need to be driving. A Triumph TR-7 isn't much larger than a Smart car. I could just about put a TR-7 in the trunk of my car. I'll probably never know what happened to that man. Maybe I'll find out when I go to meet my Maker. And then I can bow to the ground, kiss His feet and thank Him for using me that night. I kept a really bad situation from getting worse. I feel so blessed and honored so much that God and Jesus used me that night to prevent such a horrible tragedy from becoming much worse. Sometimes God uses us not because of our abilities but because of our availabilities.
