That water is so beautiful and the scenery is perfect. A worthy kicking and screaming hike to make. The reward is worth it.
@NewstateNomads3 жыл бұрын
Definitely worth it! It's surprising how small the percentage of visitors to Banff ever go on a hike, but I have a feeling that they are more "passing through" instead of stopping for several days to explore. Banff (and Jasper if you haven't already checked out that episode) are absolutely incredible! -Howard

Well that was a packed video. Lots of cool stuff to see for sure. Yeah the sway bar bracket had been broken for a while. I noticed the rust and the fresh break. Glad it got fixed. I must say that was a heck of a hike for tea 😂. I know it’s worth it just by the views 👍🏼

Loved this episode! We want to get there so badly. It looked like the area of the NP you were camping was less crowded than the Lakes area? Rocky, Rambo....when your brain is oxygen starved its all the same, LOL!
@NewstateNomads2 жыл бұрын
Haha, thanks! Oxygen starving does funny things. I think it was less crowded just because of 1. Covid-19 travel restrictions 2. Time of year. We were there in early September. Even with that, the campground area with electric was totally sold out on one of the nights we were there! 😮 -Howard

Very beautiful! Adding the tea house to maps noticed it is temporarily closed - must be seasonal. Probably is already quite cold and possibly snowy there! 🥶

Wowzers! Snow in August, no thanks. 🤣 The snails were quite a different animal to be looking for. 🐌 I love the logo with the beaver on it. 🦫 Cascades of Time Garden was an amazing spot for lunch and pics. 💖 It's a sign of our times that the average stay at Lake Louise (also my middle name 🤫) is 15 minutes. And just look at all of the beauty that those people miss. $120 for an hour on a canoe? Maybe if it comes with Sylvester Stalone singing his famous Rambo song. 🤣 Thanks for taking us along. 💕 -Aimee

So glad that you were able to tour Banff and Lake Louise, & Moraine Lake, it's beautiful. We have been there many times but I found the price of the canoe rental outrageous, price gouging for sure. Hope the rest of your Canada travels are ok.

13:15 - Just so people know. You can park and see Lake Louise without reserving a shuttle even during peak season but there is no guarantee of getting a spot like on the video. HOWEVER with few exceptions you MUST use the Parks Canada shuttle to get to Moraine Lake. The exceptions are: You have an official disabled parking permit, you are staying at the Moraine Lake Lodge or you are on a private shuttle (Only way to see Moraine Lake for sunrise but it's $$$). But rules are constantly changing as Parks Canada tries it's best to balance crowds and care for the park.
