Great to see EVs expanding outside just cars. Imagine being able to travel quietly through a winter forest 💚🇫🇮

I’m all for quiet vehicles for traversing nature. ❤ I can’t stand motorists in a forrest.

We need more v2g devices and installations...

That has to be the best use of VtoG as the snowmobile would be parked up most of the time and just balancing your grid us.

So, how about electric awd utility atv for forest owners ? Enough power, clearance and weight to pull log trailers, plow snow. V2L for hydraulics or just straight hydraulics for lifts, winch, etc...

Those exist!

The guy wasn't that clear on the V2G charging for cars.. Do we know which cars and whose grids it will work for? Hopefully Bjørn will keep track of this and get one installed when it's predictable.
@VirtuellJo7 ай бұрын
VW and Nissan at least. A car it never will work for is Tesla. Tesla will never do V2L, V2G or V2V.

The shape of that snowmobile reminds me of Boeing X-32. I hope the company will have success.

At last. Maybe there will be competition now. Becouse I ordered Taiga snowmobile 2 years ago, but they not produce model what I need yet...

BRP (Ski-Doo and Lynx) already have an electric snowmobile since last year, but from what I heard the bigger roll out will be next year, same with Polaris.

Can you use the touch screen with gloves on ?
@rADIOLINJA7 ай бұрын
I would believe the screen has "glove mode" in such way some smart phones do too. But if this is not the case many gloves incorporate touch screen capability in the index finger and thumb. So i would not worry too much about that.

Off grid solar charging.... So smart! No engine noise, seems super comfi
@alibaba-dd4uc7 ай бұрын
Solar charging would not work during the winter months closer to the poles in the northern and southern hemisphere because the sun is mostly absent.

This is super cool, however as experienced snowmobile rider it wont do, it has too short range, it also suffers probably from weight which is super critical for a snowmobiles handling, speed being 120 is good for 90% of users, the maniacs who want to blast a mountain it wont be enough, it's a cool tech, but until we get ligher, cheaper and more cold resistant batteries, this will be nothing but maybe enough for tourists at the ski resort nothing else.

With electric motor the 0-100 kmh will be brutal on tarmac. I saw a pro snow mobile driver just wreck F-18 on acceleration back in 90s.

The Canadian Taiga is far superior to this, looks better too.
@Echoes-7 ай бұрын
I agree, but I think it will be a tough market for either of these start-ups, its a very niche market and dominated by a few big players already, even established brands like Yamaha will leave the Snowmobile market after this year, because they can't compete against BRP and Polaris, BRP alone have over 50% of the marketshare.
@ledzepandhabs7 ай бұрын
@Echoes- it is tough, but if they scale wisely they can remain in business indefinitely. If they watch how much they spend they can remain a high quality low output niche player like Porsche or Ferrari. As a Canadian I can tell you there are plenty of people that will spend way more money on their sleds than their cars if justified. I know guys that have spent 40 grand CAD on theirs.
@Echoes-7 ай бұрын
@@ledzepandhabs Sure, but even brands like Arctic-Cat that are backed by Textron which has a market cap of 19 billion are struggling on the snowmobile market with only about 10% of the market share, I guess they will go the same way as Yamaha when Textron pulls the plug in a couple of years, its not worth it.
