For those of you wondering why it sounds different, i think it's because the exhaust exits on BOTH sides of the car instead of the current passenger side only setup. When the car is going by, you only get 4 cylinders exiting the passenger side, which is what faces the crowd in the stands. This also changes how the car sounds going down the backstretch, because you also get the other half of the exhaust exiting through the driver side, which is then facing the same stands, but from farther away.

That car sounds so retro, like from the 90's. So its not a bad thing at all. Also the dual side exhaust allows for fans to still hear it even when it is on the back straightaway. So that means Bristol and Martinsville will be extremely LOUD when 40 of these dual port exhaust go around that small track !!!!! Left and Right sides of the car has sound now.

So many people are already bashing this car and it hasn't even had a chance to be on the track in competition with the real bodies on them to know what they're doing I don't get a lot of NASCAR fans today. They complain about the racing today and say it isn't as good as what it use to be but the numbers say the exact opposite the competition has never been closer. I'll admit the personalities back in the day were a lot more interesting but today's racing produces closer finishes more cars finishing and on the lead lap to when back in the day you'd have races with only 6 or 7 cars on the lead lap at the end of the race and multiple cars dropping out of the race, and I believe this car is only going to make the racing better

Barry Jowers Yeah NASCAR is as good as ever today, it’s just that modern NASCAR fans who complain are only good at complaining and are spoiled brats who will have hard hearts and never learn to appreciate what they have.

ghrvjdev 1000 While I agree with the majority of what you said, I have seen many fans older than me complaining about today's NASCAR and saying that the product of the 79's 80's and 90's was better., unfortunately human nature tends to remember all the good and none of the bad. They remember the personalities the cars that looked like the ones in our garages and the rivalries. They complain about the playoff format we have now and say we need to go back to the old points system, but they forget about how many times the championship would be wrapped up with 3 races to go and all the drama was gone. That's another reason NASCAR went to a playoff system so many times a championship would be won so people had no reason to watch and would tune into football. The ratings suffered greatly because of that. The racing is much better now but what we are missing are the personalities. I'm 43 and I remember fondly the Earnhardt Waltrip rivalry and Bodine vs Earnhardt you knew each week you was going to see great action on the track and hear some memorable quotes and the occasional fight. Today it's all political correctness be sure to say all the right things don't say anything bad about NASCAR and don't forget your sponsors. People weren't afraid to be themselves then and that in my opinion is the biggest thing the sport is missing today
@ghrvjdev4 жыл бұрын
Barry Jowers Yeah I’m only 22 it’s nice that you were alive at the time when Earnhardt and Bodine. I live at the time where I see Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson were rivals Kurt Busch Tony Stewart. Those were the drivers I remembered as a kid. I just noticed how toxic the fans are and I get what you’re saying. Sad isn’t it, sad for the fanbase to sat the least. Honestly I think Clint Bowyer has some personality :). Are you excited for the generation 7 car? It looks really promising love the sound too!!!
@kylefrey31364 жыл бұрын
The only reason more cars finish on the lead lap is because NASCAR manufactured the racing to be like that. It's so hard to pass with the current aero package, the lucky dog rule, wave arounds, double file restarts, etc. The racing may be "closer" nowadays, but closer does not = better. The 2000 and 2001 Spring Atlanta races which produced two of the greatest finishes in NASCAR history had none of these things, and less than 10 cars on the lead lap, and STILL produced incredible racing. Personalities are a big aspect, but I think it's flat out wrong to say the racing is as good as ever.
