I'm very excited to get my hands on the newly released GTTrack from Next Level Racing! This cockpit offers a huge scope of adjustability as well as excellent rigidity to support high end direct drive sim racing equipment.
In this video we will focus on what you get in the box an how to assemble the GTTrack. In future videos we'll be moving my simulator gear across to the new platform and reviewing it in more detail, along with Next Level Racing's new Stand-alone Monitor Stand.
I'd like to thank Next Level Racing for kindly providing this equipment free of charge for the purpose of review for our simulator project! They were more than happy to assist when I reached out to them and have been fantastic to deal with.

My only concern is shifter rigidity (other folks have done their own mod to older models), and vertical mounting of the e-brake ala rally/drifting style position. Other than that this rig is awesome and I love the ability to upgrade to motion (after selling all non essential organs). Thanks for the well shot, edited, and detailed video I plan on copying you when my chassis arrives. 😂 👏🏿👍🏿🏁

UPS showed up with my rig today and also Fed Ex showed up with my Fanatec gear today. So I had to get to work. I started at 2:30 pm on the rig. Now mind you I'm 66 years old, diabetic with a heart condition. I think I took about 7 breaks along the way, but it took me 7 hours from start to finish. My back was killing me really bad. I think the only thing I didn't get done was putting on the stickers. That can wait till tomorrow when I'm rested. I had a couple problems with hole alignment. Especially with the back plate. But in the end I was successful. I knew it was gonna be tough but I'm very proud of myself for getting it done. Thank you Will. I couldn't have done it without your video. 😁

@MarkDavidBlack - I hope your not too sore today ,and it all works out ok :) ., I just noticed your post from Oz. I already have the DD stand, though thinking of getting the GT seat addon. Currently use my kitchen chair. My issue is a shattered pevlis 23 screws 3 plates and hip replacement disability and was wondering how hard it was going to be get in and out of this, it could be too low. (I cant find any stats on how high the seat was from the ground anywhere) it would be great if you could mention the height of the seat and how easy you found it to get in and out of. as it could be my next purchase as It think it would be better on my back also than the kitchen chair..

Hi Darren. Yeah I'm pretty sore but I'm able to move around ok. It's just bending over to pick something up is the hard part because of my back. I just measured the seat height. At the front portion of the seat (steering wheel side) it's 14 1/2" (inches). Yeah it's pretty low, but getting in and out isn't too bad. There's a little bit of empty space to put one foot in on the floor and then I just kinda swing myself down to the seat. I wish the seat was higher. If it wasn't for my motorized desk it wouldn't have worked. Good luck to you man. I wish you the best.@@darrenbates8897

@@boostedmedia Got it. Love it. Will, when you're setting up your ClubSport shifter and Handbrake, do you put the handbrake on the inside or outside of the shifter? I have no idea how to best mount this thing for the best driving/ergonomic experience. I'm mixing up rally/road sim racing.

If you don't mind me asking, what is the measurement between the far side of the shifter and the other side of the seat? I have quiet a narrow space that I want to try and fit this cockpit in and I'm not sure if it would work. Thanks 👍

You could depending on the height of the desk but would probably be better to just buy a nice gaming chair. U less you’re wanting to use it for pedals too? Not sure what you’re trying to achieve...

@@the_frosted_one hi actually I did . I made a video about it . You should be able to see it under my videos . Also next level has an F-gt rig now that does not come with a seat just for that purpose . Not sure if it’s a direct bolt on .

I just got mine on Sunday. assembled it all however it is getting some time to get used to. I still can't feel comfortable. the wheel feels too far forward. I wonder if I could mount the optional shifter plate onto the wheel support and move it closer toward me that way?

Haven’t played flight sims with it so can’t really say but NLR do have a flight deck so I’d say it’s probably awesome.

I spoke with one of the staff at Pagnian (Australia). She said that they are going to release a flight kit for this product soon - watch this space of the the next month or two (Jul - Sep, 2019) for the release of the flight kit. It'll be similar to the flight pack that you can get with the GT Ultimate. Check out their website (in this video description) to see what it looks like - it has three mounting plates and makes provision for a centre stick (between the pilot legs). The representative (Renee) also advised me to just purchase the GT Track rig now, and I can then order the flight pack when it's available (free shipping in Oz). Hope this helps.

I think NLR did an excellent job on this Rig, but I wish they had installed a few spacers for enhanced rigidity and reinforcement, between the Square Tubing, at the top two Support Brackets, to the outer Steering Wheel Mtg Plate, and the seat Brkt to Rig Mounting points. That would be 8 Spacers that would have made the biggest difference when it comes to being able to torque the bolts down a little more, for where it Truly matters. One can easily distort the metal trying to get those maybe a little tighter than some of the other places. Be Careful not to keep cranking down on those bolts, and you should be good to go.

I’m on really soft carpet so the whole rig moves a bit. I’d say the seat back moves about the same amount as it does in a real car. Not as solid as a single piece racing seat but the same as most adjustable seats.

The GTTRACK is noticeably more rigid than the F-GT when driving. But you don’t really notice the F-GT moving while you’re driving either. I’ll talk about it more in my review of the GTTrack in a few weeks. The GTTrack is certainly the better of the two but also quite a lot more expensive. Both provide excellent value for money in my opinion though.

Very impressive setup you have, thanks for sharing. I'm deciding on a cockpit right now and I've seen some where the seat is tilted way back and the feet set higher. Have you tried one of these types? Just wondering how comfortable they are. I'm an ole timer compared to most players, father of 3 kids, so while I do want simulation, but not at too much cost of comfort :)
