Very beautiful work under the hood Would you mind showing people the correct way to charge these up? I do have instructions and deal with a lot of these but now I see why people buying them from me are going to turn around and blow it up and then look at me crazy do not charge off of a battery if you just got this Use a maintainer low amp and you can strap a voltmeter onto that super bank while charging it. The idea is to pull away voltage slow charge as possible percolated and that charge means the most. I made mine stretch out over a two hour period and today it rips 15 three steadythree years later

Love the video but I’m just wondering switching from a car battery to a super cap bank, how does that improve the electrical system?
@NextLevelCarAudio3 жыл бұрын
First: Caps have considerable faster discharge/recharge rates than an AGM making it perfect for hard hitting bass. Second: since there is no conventional battery (lead acid, AGM,etc) I can run everything together with no isolators and no issues. Thats how it is now better for my application.

I’m just now seeing this video and I just wanted to tell you that your installation is sweet. I just got a 04 Suburban a couple of months ago for my very first attempt at a real system. I have already gotten a dual alternator bracket for it as well as a Taramps Smart Bass 5K amp and a Sundown Audio NSV4 D2 18. Unfortunately my house burned down and my wife and I lost everything including our dog in the fire. That being said I have had to put my plans on hold for now until we can get everything back on track again. I’m looking forward to getting two of the Mechman Elite 400 amp alternators and some lithium batteries to power everything as well as some more subs and I would love to have a SALT 8 or maybe even a SALT 12 to pull as much power from the alternators and batteries as possible. I would love to get your input on what you think would help me build something truly epic for my first real system. Thanks for making these videos and sharing your knowledge with everyone.

Or would all that be done off the lithium bank in the rear?

I'm running the SB 500 super cap in my truck and love it. I had been told it was always best to have the super cap as close to the amps as possible, but that the battery was not "as critical". Any reason your not running the lithium up front, and the super cap closer to your amps ? honestly, I don't think "either" really prefer to be located in a hot engine bay... Any way you could move both of those to the back ???

The way I see it is if one of the biggest names in the car audio power game (xs power) makes under hood Supercap battery replacements. They know what they are doing. I’ve watched your other video on how to measure resistance and voltage drop. I’m seeing very minimal voltage drop between my battery and amps. My question is why would you choose the Cyber 12K over Limitless lithium 45ah.that's what I'm stuck at right now buddy plz tell me lol plz
@NextLevelCarAudio3 жыл бұрын
Faster recharge rate, better quality (and looking in my opinion) casing, overall dimensions worked better for my install goals as I’m running 2 now. Price was not a consideration for me.

any advice for a guy who has sundown audio door speakers 10 inch subwoofer boss audio head unit and running 1000w amp to sub and 250 watt sundown audio amp to all 4 door speakers a 4 channel, still running stock alternator and stock battery, I've turned the amp down enough for stock system to handle but would like to use more amps what electrical system upgrade would you recommend??

HO alt, big 3 and beefy under hood battery will do

Hello sir, I want to know how you did to run the alternator in parallel?
@NextLevelCarAudio2 жыл бұрын
Just need to wire the trigger wire to +12 on the second alternator. Then your set. Run power wires to your battery/bank or amps.

What was your voltage with the AGM and now what is it with the caps?
@NextLevelCarAudio3 жыл бұрын
With AGM and single alt. I dropped to low 13’s. With 2 alts and cap bank. 14.6-14.7 and holds steady
@nathanlitko10043 жыл бұрын
@@NextLevelCarAudio that’s a very good gain. Should clamp more power too with the better voltage.

Do you recommend running wire from the alternator straight to the rear batteries (and front battery)? Or just through the front battery first?
@NextLevelCarAudio2 жыл бұрын
Either way is just fine. Both are great options

If I do the same as you did replace battery for a super capacitor, can I still use my car as a daily driver ? Haven't installed my 12k yet I heard same thing you said bout dealing with some voltage drop with the battery isolator.

Hey man im from your previous.vid, you sent me here. So basically you ran 2 runs of wire from each alternator to the front battery correct ? & from the front battery 3 runs to your rear battery bank correct ? Also 1 ground from each Alt & 2 runs of ground to your rear battery bank ? Hopefully i dont bother asking for so much lol i want to make sure i order enough wire & do it right the first time
@NextLevelCarAudio3 жыл бұрын
Exactly! But the under hood unit is a super cap not a battery. I did not want to run an isolator, so ditched my AGM for a XS super cap bank that can connect to my rear lithium back without issues
@SleepyBoiii3 жыл бұрын
@@NextLevelCarAudio can i use a super cap as well ? Even though i dont have lithium in my rear ? Is that the way to go, my system will be close to 15k watts , ill have 2 400Amp alts & 3 d7500s. What would you recommend for under the hood?
@NextLevelCarAudio3 жыл бұрын
Hell yes! My xs Supercap bank really helped with recharge rate for those big bass hits. I think it’s totally worth it and they go great with AGM!

What u think of the cyber 12k compare to the older 45ah one working on a set up i will b running a salt 8k at half
@NextLevelCarAudio3 жыл бұрын
Same basic technology but Cyber 12k faster recharge and discharge rates. So the 38ah is superior to the 45ah. Both good choices tho

Direct connection instead of only using chassis. It will never hurt to overly ground your electrical.

That’s funny... I actually think it sets the theme. I like the contrast and how it pops. Everyone has their own taste. I could have done any color, but in the end, this is what made me happy 😃

I thought it was recommended to have capacitors closest to the amplifiers.
