Mick Mars is actually probably the only reason Motley Crue went anywhere. A bit older, sure, more mature and kept them sort of on the straight and narrow but he brought musical maturity to the equation as well. I would say him and Vince Neil are probably the two biggest factors that helped them out at the beginning but Nikki Sixx's passion and determination didn't hurt and Tommy Lee is a monster on drums, we all know that.

If you call that a "bass line", you must not get much real music where you live. LOL They SUCK as musicians. Garage band at best!
@elvis51383 жыл бұрын
@@commonsenseentertainment5487 Why are you watching a video of them if you hate them so mutch? Also as if you are a better musician, is it you who is world famous rockstar who is part of a band who sold millions of records and was one of the top glam metal and hard rock band in the 80s or them?
@commonsenseentertainment54873 жыл бұрын
They sold because as I stated, in studio with the right engineering, they were good at what they did for the time. (hair metal) But to say any of them were guitar gods or the like is insanity. And I watched to further verify that truth is all. Don't hate them; just don't care for them
@elvis51383 жыл бұрын
@@commonsenseentertainment5487 You said that what Nikki played wasn't a bass line and that they suck. That's not the same as not caring for them also if you don't care for them why are you watching a video of them. I don't like modern pop like Ariana Grande and Katy Perry and I don't go on videos and comment on them because I don't care about them/don't like them. Yet here you are commenting on a band that you think suck. Also who said anything about guitar gods he just made a comment about that the rythm section sounded good which it did. For example I don't like Zara Larsson's music in general but there is no denying that she has a good voice. Same thing here: you may not like Motley Crue's music and the sound in general but there is no denying that they are professionals who can write music the resonates with millions of people.
@commonsenseentertainment54873 жыл бұрын
@@elvis5138 Like I said, I watched to verify my suspicions; that they still suck live. I grew up with them, & agreed that they were good at what they did. And as to resonating with the masses; sex, drugs, & rock & roll will always do that. Lowest common denominator. They were a good hair metal band with an ardent following. That's not saying much musically speaking, but monetarily, it's great. Don't like 'em, but can't deny their draw in the day.
@squishrena5 жыл бұрын
They had such success because they were all important and brought talents to the band. Mick is a kick ass underrated guitarist Tommy has that energetic drumming Vince is a front man he entertains and used to sing pretty good (I can’t say much for now. I mean age and substance abuse changes you) And Nikki played decent bass but was there to entertain and write kick ass lyrics All together, one of the hottest rock bands in history.

1987 hell of a year. MOTLEY on their Girls Girls Girls tour... Freddy Kruger beginning to take off in pop culture with A Nightmare on Elm Street Dream Warriors, The Lost Boys giving us a new meaning to Vampires, Mel Gibson hitting us with something lethal in the first Lethal Weapon, Dirty Dancing gave us the time of our life...Cheers, Golden Girls, Growing Pains, Who's the Boss? and The Wonder Years had us glued to the tv each week and a little family show made its debut about a single father of 3 girls, a rock-n-roll Elvis fanatic, and a stand-up comic all living together in a Full House. Just to name a few things that happened in 1987. And you wonder why we love that decade!
