I definitely get your point about his hooks being repetitive sometimes, but I think he often writes them with the live concert experience in mind, rather than radio play. They work well for having a whole venue of people singing his hooks back to him at concerts.

This just might be my fav NF song … even when I’m not listening to it 🤷‍♀️☺️😂 This one did get played on the radio, not like Let You Down but possibly more than Time … and that’s okay with me. I want everyone to experience his music of course, but at the same time I want to keep him safe and protected from the vultures!!! I suspect we all (or most of Us) feel that way. What I love about this song is he’s not focusing on himself. Even though he struggles with these issues, he’s always speaking to you about you. He makes you feel that you’re not the only one going through these hard times while not complaining about his life. I’m hyped for the rest of the mixtape with you. If I started hearing NF on the radio a lot I would actually be sad🤣🤣 I love that he is not that kind of rapper. His song Let You Down was a big radio hit so he has had that kind of success but I don't think that is his goal. Rappers like NF,Hopsin and Ren actually are not impressed with that kind of "success" because I don't think they feel it means anything at the end of the day. I think they are more concerned with touching people's lives and rocking with the fans who get their music even when the music industry doesn't if that makes sense. As a Christian Trev... It's the rainy days that give us love for the SON... “Where sin abounds, grace abounds much more.Romans 5:20... Nate is not chasing 'Holly-wierd'... In all his 'artwork'.. the verse preceding that 'repeating lyric' hook in most of his chorus's are purposeful by design... almost as if to say to the 'mainstream' ''let my people go!' then the OUTCASTs in the concerts and listening at home repeat loud and proud those repeating choruses that even get the kiddos singing along on the first listen... as if Nate is following more the tactic of the sing-along style that is so successful in 'youth-group' settings allowing those most affected to feel inclusion rather than the artist bragging through an illusion?... If you get a chance to step back in time on Nate's first collab with Tommie Profitt... please react to 'BEAUTIFUL ADDICTION'... it is a 'Hillsong style' worship song released 8 years ago that is right up there with the best of them and Nate is in his singin' bag... Might even do it as your famous 2fer to include it as a bonus while still staying on the 'NF train' ? Hi, just to help a little. When you reacted to Hi Ren because you were so amazed at what was happening, you missed one of the best lines in the whole song at 2:32. Go back to about 2:27 and listen to the "psycho" side's complete lines before it returns to the "sane" Ren. You were too excited at the time and it was clear that you hadn't heard the most important bits of what was said because you would DEFINITELY have made some comment or other about it. 100%.

This was definitely a pop hit for him and got it on the radio played everyday. Not the 1st one to make it there either. He had "Let you Down" and "Lie" also played for radio folks. For myself...I found NF years ago on my local Christian radio with "I'll keep On" that song saved me at a time that I needed a song and this 1 has that impact too. NF is a big star just getting brighter every year

I truly believe this is Only Part II. I just love everything about this song and its probably my favorite on the Mixtape with Drifting and Prideful coming in close behind. As far as his hooks, they are geared more for the concert experience in my opinion. I personally believe that the hook on That's a Joke is a joke within itself! All these stupid songs win multiple awards and are pure crap and most of them are just a few words repeated throughout. So in Nate's brilliance, I believe it was just his way of mocking all the "popular hits" of today!
