he once said "I'm not a christian rapper, I'm a rapper that's christian" big words
@justyourfriendlyneighborho9435 жыл бұрын
Some Christians took that as "Rap comes before God" but that's just stupid. All that he's saying is that he's a rapper and Christian separately.
@geraldrullan47515 жыл бұрын
@@justyourfriendlyneighborho943 i dont think that's what he meant entirely he's saying it shouldn't be a genre because it's like saying I'm a muslim rapper, yes the person is muslim but that doesn't make his songs just for muslim or about muslim or excludes other ethnicities, cultures and religions. It's for everybody. It's just he happens to be a Christian who raps like a plumber who is one he said u don't call them a "christian plumber". But because he is a Christian and that's an integral part of who he is. Not a fake one or pretender. He doesn't cuss 🤬, he talks about God in his life from time to time. Showing the hard part of Christianity meaning it doesn't mean it's sunshine and rainbows in here. We are really going to suffer on earth until we go whether or not ur christian. It's a part of life. But to us Christians who do believe and do our best to take up our crosses and follow Christ. We know it's worth it just like he raps in his song The Search. Jesus's life wasn't pretty but the end goal is the best there ever will be. That's what inspires me so much because he's real and he's character shows he really is trying in rap, life, and his insane struggles, even showing them off to help people as he mentions. And at the very least he helps me. As a fellow Christian who struggles with life and when life gets me pissed or a person does i sometimes let out a cuss which I shouldn't as a Christian but again we're not perfect. As he says again. What's insane to me is he's a rapper and he shows so much of his faith just by not cussing which is unbelievablly hard in rap not just the life alone. He the MVP. God bless him, hope he gets better mentally. And let him see Christ. And the holy spirit live in this dude. Cuz it like he has the holy wrath of god in him and music is his perfect outlet cuz to him its his medicine that god gave to him. Peace
@geraldrullan47515 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the long reply i just thought that needed to be explained. Hope u understood and got the references. Basically he even has a song called Oh Lord where he's talking to God and he saying it ain't exclusive to Christians it's for anyone listening or who needs to hear it.
@justyourfriendlyneighborho9435 жыл бұрын
@@geraldrullan4751 Yeah, he makes music for everyone, not just Christians, that's the point I was trying to get across. I was saying that he doesn't have to rap about God to be a Christian, and he doesn't have to put rap before God to not rap about God.
@geraldrullan47515 жыл бұрын
