There can be hugely differing quality and cost between one tuille and another but even if all hand stitched ( which I doubt many are ) most pre made veils come from China and cost very little…it’s common for bridal salons to buy basic veils and add details to match a dress so there is obviously an added cost but when you compare cost of fabric etc to a bridal gown , most veils are definitely over priced ..when I was a florist we saw some horrendous stiff scratchy veils people had made themselves trying to cut costs , but by getting very poor quality tuille instead of a bridal quality tuille they really messed up the look they were wanting to achieve …better to get a slightly better quality tuille and gently handwash it before using to remove the stiffening products then carefully iron between two layers of white fabric to remove wrinkles or use a steamer ( steamers are also great to liven up squished silk flowers that would otherwise look rather sad ) if possible cut with good quality , long bladed shears to avoid a jagged finish especially if not hemming the edges……..if you choose an organza or similar fabric it is vital to do a finished edge or it will fray terribly…but if you’re prepared to put some time in you should be able to make a lovely veil for a fraction of the cost a bridal store would charge you .

I have seen many brides and their families change their minds and buy a dress that is way above budget. People are emotional and again, sometimes they are wowed by something that really delivers, no matter how above-budget. As for the consultants, many times they are “steered” by the owner or manager to get the clients’ attention to a certain dress or price point. They are making a business profitable ~~ no longer the American dream?

I like the blue dress, not for me though but someone will look nice with it. It’s perfect for a Disney wedding. The bride-to-be looked nice in it but it was not what she was looking for. ✌🏽

I made mine for less than 30, just had to hem the edge and attach it to a comb thing so it could be secured in my hair. Got lovely material for cheap and it matched my handmade gown perfectly

I absolutely love the sleeve part of the blue dress. I would love to see it wrap around to the back of the dress and drop the crystals all the way down the spine. The bottom part I would love to see it with an old Hollywood flair type of bottom and not the princess look. I even love the color but I would love to see it in silver and white.

I've noticed that more often than not, the consultants in this show always show dresses at least $1,000 above the budget which Say Yes to the Dress don't usually do... One girl said her budget is 3k and the first dress they had her try on 4,600. Next girl has a 6k budget and the first dress they give her to try on is 10k.

Even if I have the money to buy an expensive wedding dress, I would never go to this store. Their dresses just looks ugly, and they know it. They make their customer wear something they think looks ugly but lies straight to the brides face just to sell it. Then they forces the bride to go out in a dress she does not like and feel good about. Its the worst customer service. I can't believe they still have customers.

The young consultant not only always looks like an inelegant scrubber, she is so immature and disrespectful. Why would Renee have a consultant that always looks such a mess in what is supposed to be an ‘exclusive’ establishment? She is a pretty girl, surely Renee could school her in elegance or at least style that matches the style of the boutique
