My mom always took care of her in the 80s when she was at Dollywood. Yes she has always been so down to earth. My mom didn't have a baby sitter for us once and Dolly said well let them girls come to the park and stay. We literally spent nearly every day that summer at Dollywood. Such a sweet soul. I went to Sevierville Primary School when she had our playground redone and I can remember her laughing as us kids pushed her on the swing. ❤❤❤❤

I had the honor of meeting her in 1978 after a show in Ohio. She was great and just a normal person. Talked for a few minutes and got a hug. I was 17. She is actually very short without heels. And now at 77 and still active that way. Beauty beyond belief. A voice of an angel. This woman is a treasure. You go girl!

Dolly has been requested more than once to perform the SBHT. She has turned down the opportunity saying it is too much of a production to do it but this effort makes me think she is clearly up to the job. Dolly is not perfect, but she is wonderful.

There’s something comforting isn’t there, in seeing someone who has been there our whole life still be such a forceful presence in our world? So many famous singers and bands have come and gone in that time, many of whom started their careers much later. But Dolly is more relevant than ever and that gives me a warm fuzzy. On top of that, I can see that her drive to help make the world a better place has taken a new and urgent turn, which has given her a renewed vibrancy I truly envy. The billionaire philanthropists should just turn their money over to her.
