Watch a game from the 80's, or 70's, or 60's, or I think you get the point. The game has progressively become less dangerous. At one point in the early days they basically all lined up and went head first into each other. Eighteen people died in college football in one year from head injuries.

Rembering you Kid . ,,,,,,,,,,,,,At :10 me and my son Anthony were at the 40 yard line 13 rows deep . The day after his 10th Birthday . We were getting blown out but when Coles scored it gave us something to cheer about . Then Wiggins scored and everything was going the Jets way . Chrebet sets up the field goal and we’re down by 7 with plenty of time . But it was the Cox sack that got my boy up on his feet jumpin up and down as loud as can be . We were late , missed most of the 1st quarter so staying late didn’t bother me so much . I noticed a lot of the fans left and was glad we stayed . Jumbos catch made it a great comeback , but Coleman’s 2nd int. made it a miracle . Chrebet gets us in field goal range and Jason Taylor was practically in tears . Not the Packers. Not the Cowboys. Not Montana's 49ers or the Steel Curtain or even the Purple People Eaters and the Fearsome Foursome. Not the No Name Defense. Nope, they say, "The New York Jets". Bob Griese and Don Strock were the QBs with Tony Nathan at RB and Nat Moore at WR, Killer B’s on D. I remember so many moments over the years, AJ Duhe mud bowl vs Jets, the 81 chargers/dolphins hook and latter play, 85 bears Monday night to preserve only undefeated season, fake spike play…I go to college at Niagara 91-94 the 4 years the Bills go to the Super Bowl, I’ve been to Dolphin games in Buffalo/NE/NY/Miami and they’ve never won. This was the last game I ever attended and knew then it was just not meant to be. It’s been a struggle being a fan the first 2 decades of the 2000’s but I hope McD can be our next Shula and get this team back into the Super Bowl story

Classic. One of the greatest games I have ever watched live. My Co worker slept on it early "What do mean they f***ing win? That's not possible!" And would not believe me until he saw the daily paper 😅

Dad and I were at this game. We never left games early. All these people saying they stayed are full of it. Half way through the third quarter there were about 35 people left in the stands.

I was there up until the start of the fourth quarter. My friends and I decided to get ahead of the heavy traffic back into Manhattan. We could hear cheers out on the concourse and again on the exit ramps and still more in the parking lot. We turned on the radio in the car and listened… we were convinced that if we tried to re-enter the stadium we would jinx it.

That stat about the Jets getting 19 first downs in the 4th quarter (actually 20, Jumbo’s TD counts as a first down too) is outrageous

What an incredible 4th quarter. Holy crap that was fun.

I was at this game. The ONLY reason I stayed was because of how much I paid the scalper for the tickets. When I got home, both my parents were sleeping. They went to bed at beginning of the 4th. I woke them up and we celebrated… they are definitely I. Heaven right now excited about us getting rodgers!

there were so many great players on the early 2000's jets team, a shame they couldn't get a ring

I miss this NFL. Notice how there weren’t any highly choreographed dance routines to celebrate every single accomplishment imaginable.

Exactly...no more Barry Sanders handing the ball to the official in the end zone after another astonishing TD run...class and sportsmanship. Long gone from the NFL. I blame it all on Willie "White Shoes" Johnson. Even as Jet fan, I hated when Mark Gasteneau did his celebrations. This is what they teach the next generation.

Oh I remember this, it was called the Monday Night Miracle. I saw it on TV in Charlotte NC. Even after his achilles injury, Testaverde could ball.

You can tell the excitement in Al Michaels voice. He was a big Jets fan Jets were a playoff team that year and should've gotten in
