It's crazy that Purdy was on no one's draft boards. He made Iowa State a contender every year he played for them. His Decision making, his accuracy, ability to extend plays, footwork, all he was lacking was he didn't have the biggest arm. That 49ers Offense is currently rolling BECAUSE of him.

So for thoes ppl who commented on Purdy saying he didn't make one impressive throw and nothing about his performance was highlight worthy just go to 13.49 or 12:30. Just goes to show how people would rather hate on the underdog rather then give the freshman his respect. It clearly stuck with the kid in the NFL he falls to the last pick of the draft for reasons unknown gets his start and goes 8-0 with 14 tds , 3 ints... through the last 8 week lead the league with a passer rating of 103 higher then Mahomes ,Burrow Rodgers ect. He lit a spark in the 49ers offense since he took over they have scored 30 plus a game . Then leads his team to NFC Championship one game away from becoming the first rookie to ever start at Qb in super bowl. But yeah let's talk about his every bad decision instead of praise what he has accomplished. People rather wait for him to fail so they can say they were right about him. Simply put, because he's not as big as they want QBs to be in todays league. Seems like every big-time QB is 6'3 where Brock is barely 6'0 Teams are so worried about QBs getting hurt they want them to be tall and heavy much of the time. Plus if they're taller and have a better wingspan, it's easier to stay in the pocket and see/throw over the D line to execute quick plays. That keeps your recievers fresh when you're getting plays off quickly, and wears out the defense mentally because they have a harder time reading the routes. In the end, 3 inches realy does make a difference.

Hurts played an amazing game, but felt off in the 4th quarter. Purdy played a solid match and an near perfect 4th quarter. Still, you can see that hurts is a better QB

Can you ?? More talented sure but more intangibles? Ion purdy made some amazing winning plays this game wit less talent on his squad too

@@KKOOLSKOOL yes more intangibles. It's kinda obvious.

Not sure about who's better QB. Brock outplayed Hurts in this game. The obvious take from this game is Ceedee Lamb is a baller.

I remember this game and at the time I was so mad at Matt Campbell. ISU had to the juice in the 2nd half and the momentum, I thought we could win it in over time. Campbell is a great coach though. I really hope the playoff goes the other way on the win this time.
