But sure...Eli Manning was the reason they lost games like this. In fact the 2015 giants went 6-10. They would have gone 10-5-1 that year if a football game was 58 minutes. The giants defense blew the lead/tie 6 times in the last 2 minutes. That’s...historically hard to do.

Don't punt the ball out of bounds when the Saints have 20 seconds and 3 timeouts. A skilled directional punter could kick a 32 yard punt out of bounds to the Saints 43. Then the Saints have just 17 yards to go to get to the 40 for Kai Forbath, who has a 57 yard career long. I'll take my chances with the big boot. Really, you should be blaming Wing for the facemask, not for kicking it in bounds. If Wing tackles correctly here, the Saints have to attempt either a 60 yard field goal or a 44 yard hail mary.

Even as a Giants fan, I love this game. This was one of Eli's best games (the most touchdowns he's ever thrown) which was like a swansong for him. Brees and Eli were 2 of the older QBs in the league so it was cool to see them go at it against one another.

Ill never forget this game. I was in Vegas that weekend watching it live at the Wynn. Everyone at the sportsbook was glued to this game. Thankfully, my girlfriend went shopping and left me alone that afternoon. I took the over in this game and I hit a 6 game parlay and won $1500 on a $40 bet. It was amazing. What a day. Unfortunately she came back after a few hours. But it was still a great day.

Do you watch football or do you just sit all day and comment? You know those years where the Saints were terrible on defense like what was shown in this game...well the Saints during those 7-9 seasons would be 2 win teams at most if Drew wasn't the qb. He led his team to so many wins that if another qb was under center, would be a loss. He single handedly carried the Saints for years until recently where the cast around him, in his older football twilight years, are talented as well. He's had game in the post season was not not as favorable as his usual performances. His post season numbers are equal to the likes of guys in elite company as him. Instead of repeating tired media talking points, actually do your research. Eli was never and will never be better than the guy who owns every single qb ever in existence while leading the league year in and year out in qb passing categories. Something Eli has never done. Drew led the league in multiple passing categories while throwing to guys who never made a pro bowl or who were no names. He was the offense..as for his defenses, they are literally some of the worst in NFL history so yout falsehood of Eli having "poorer" teams are wrong. Eli will never be better than the guy who had record breaking seasons while Eli was near retirement even though he's younger than Drew. This is why rings will never be the deciding factor of who is greater than another because it doesn't tell the story of one's career. Eli is barely above .500 as a qb and his Hall of fame status is debated while Drew is unquestionably and undoubtedly a future 1st ballot Hall of famer.

This was like a Big 12 game. Oklahoma vs Texas Tech or something. Eli threw 6 touchdowns and zero interceptions but LOST. Brees threw for more than 500 yards and 7 touchdowns and that was barely enough. If the Giants weren’t the only team in the world that is not allowed to punt the ball out of bounds with less than 30 seconds to go in a tie game this game would’ve gone to OT. This was what you get when the worst and 3rd worst defenses in the NFL each play their worst games for the season against each other. The Giants gave up over 200 yards more than the 2nd worst passing defense and the Saints surrendered 9 more passing touchdowns than the 2nd worst team. New Orleans allowed more rushing AND passing yards per attempt than anyone in the league. They gave up a touchdown on 8.3% of passing attempts. Nobody else did worse than 6.8%. The Giants were the worst defense in the league at stopping teams on 3rd downs. New York lost 3 games on last second field goals, 1 game in OT, and gave up last minute touchdowns to lose 2 games they were 1 stop away from winning. Eli threw for the most yards and touchdowns he ever would, while throwing a reasonable 14 picks, and the Giants went 6-10.
