I loved the comment from the passenger of the Beige Landcruiser Trayback when they first got bogged only metres into the beginning of the track. Passenger - "do you also wanna let the tyres down? Driver reply - "nah she'll be right". Then proceeded to go about 5 metres and really bogged it. Priceless!!!!🤣🙄 They don't seem to understand that its not only the width and flexibility of low pressures that help, your actually trying to lengthen the Tyre flat contact area to resemble the flotation of a Snow Ski on powdery snow - sorta like a mini max track on each of the 4 tyres - 4 almost flat tyres provides a huge amount of floatation OVER the sand.

@@Francois_Dupont Except salted roads cause cars to rust much faster. Translate that to salt water, where the huge concentration of salt, combined with all the water will further speed up the process. Drive through a deep puddle and all that corrosive salt water gets up into your electrics, chassis rails, small gaps in your suspension components and running gear. Potentially even into the body of the car. The car WILL have corrosion issues and rust. Washing will never get rid of everything and underbody sprays just trap any residual salt. Yes, car chassis have zinc coatings these days, but that is a delay, not a cure and does nothing to protect the components or body and paint.
@Francois_Dupont3 жыл бұрын
@@adamsimpson2041 no. sea water is just 3.5-5% salt, on Canadian road its 100% salt. it takes about 10-15years for a normal car driving all year on salted road to start having holes into the body and pannels. going into 3.5% salt water for a day or two is literally nothing. if you just drive around after when its raining it might be enough to wash most of the little salt accumulated. going "OHHH OHHHHHHHH!" when somebody is driving into sea water and expecting the car to fall apart later that weak is not only ignorant and simple minded, but very childish behavior.
@adamsimpson20413 жыл бұрын
@@Francois_Dupont It's not 100% salt going on your car. It's mixed with melted ice and snow, general much and grime, and potentially sand if that was also spread on the road. There is also a MASSIVE difference between a bit of spray off your tyres getting some salty gunk under your car, and flooding every single gap with salt water. That's not even mentioning the statement of 10-15 years TO GET RUST HOLES. Thats an atrociously short life span that not only decimates your resale but is quite frankly dangerous.
