@@Alsabeh55 that’s point of my comment champ. Maybe read my comment, then read it again. just to be sure you understand it, read it again. Also you let them down to 15psi to 10psi. Not “empty up to”. You aren’t emptying tyre pressure and going up in tyre pressure?????

@@wadedixon6780 Funny you should say that. I’ve been travelling by 4x4 since I was a boy, my first 4x4 40 series Troopy. The old man taught me how to drive the things back when I was a lad well over half a century ago…..he was very clear about tyre pressures. Back then everything was very simple and there were no max tracks etc. About 10 or more years back I was driving my single cab 79 along this long sand track, sorry I can not recall where it was. I had however been told by a local that it caught many people out. Just before I left the gravel I aired down & unusually chose 10 psi (as I was heavy). Whilst I aired down I asked the wife to lock the hubs in and we set off along this track. We must have travelled about 3-4 km & we came onto this flat long section and as we moved along I commented to my wife it was hard yakka & I could actually feel us starting to struggle……a real shock to me as I had never been bogged in Sand. Anyway, just as lost by momentum I punched the clutch & we stopped…..my wife said, “What now?” I jumped out and stood next to my 3.7 tonne rig thinking WTF. It was at that EXACT moment I realised what I’d done. I peered into the cab of the truck and noticed that I had failed to engage 4x4 (transfer case). 🤦♂️ 🙄 Apparently these things start to happen as we age 😂 Anyway, I punched the clutch, moved the gear stick & drove out. Anyway 100% human error, I’m a silly old wad! ALL SAID, I can NEVER understand why people don’t air down when going off-road. Not only will it save you heartache, hard work & embarrassment, the vehicles tyres actually for half your suspension system. Correct tyre pressure offroad will reduce stress on other vehicle components & save you from shaking the shit out of ur electronics (& beers). It’s just not that hard, until you get old 😉 Maybe it’s just a case of, ‘All the gear but no idea’? 🤷🏼♂️

Sugar sand driving recipe is low as possible tyre pressure, right gear to keep good momentum just under the max torque curve of the engine(you must know your vehicle) in case you qiuckly need more power--also the secret when one use a kinetic energy rope. Max engine revs at too low gear brings you nowhere. That is why some seems to float through the sand where one hardly hear the motor work.
