Bloody hard to watch this. Before everyone had a 4x4, this beach would have been accessed by Holden Ute's and kombi vans. No four wheel drive. No "power" without a problem. Once the first leadfoot with overpressured tyres rips it up, no one else has a chance. Bloody dickheads.

Got a national park right next door to my place. Pure white sand, spinifex and granite. Drove all over it in 1960 landy fitted with Holden 149 and 7.50x16 tyres. Hardly left a mark back in the day. Fast forward to today, track is cut up trenched out with deep ruts you can't get through

If the tyres are moving faster than the vehicle (wheelspin) you are going to dig a hole and be bogged. The Jeremy Clarkson "more power" method is your enemy. What you need is traction. You get it by letting tyres down. It's not rocket science.

I used to go the Bribie and Inskip nearly every weekend when I got my first 4wd as a newb, never got bogged because I’d drop Tyre pressure to 10-15psi.. way more comfortable too. Even taught a girl to drive in the sand in her stock standard rav4 that would put these guys to shame. it’s just Tyre pressure and momentum.

Difficult to watch these types of videos , most of the vehicles are easily capable with tyre pressure lowered sufficiently and gentle throttle control. Aggressive tyre tread pattern is detrimental in soft hungry sand . I can see all this being conveyor belt rubber matted in the future.
