Florida's Nick Cousins deserves a mention. Has been guilty of committing reckless and frankly seriously dangerous boarding hits behind the net. His latest effort was rightfully punished by Erik Gudbranson, and it's not the first time he has done this to an opposition player. Add to that, he cowers in the turtle position when it comes back to bite him, and players won't win favors when they do this. Very dirty player.

Yeah, I'm kind of surprised about the lack of Nick Cousins. Beyond Kevin Bieksa ripping on him, they were ripping on him in the latest episode of Spittin Chiclets about how he was invited on the podcast for an interview and he's too scared to go on, asking for questions in advance when nobody else does. He probably needs time to think of good responses since he knows there's not much defense to some of his actions.

Marchand hasn't played the rat role for a couple seasons now. Since he was given the "C" he has cleaned up his game even more. I think your basing this list on how he used to be so he definitely doesn't deserve the #1 spot.

Tkachuk is easily more hatable than Marchand. At least Marchand is entertaining to watch and doesn’t go after players who used to play on his team. Remember when Tkachuk basically tried to assassinate Garnet Hathaway in the playoffs?

Those that hate wilson and marchand are just jealous they don't have either of them on their team. They wouldn't be saying that if they were on their team that's the common theme. People hate going against them and both of those players have done some questionable things on the ice in the past yes but would love to have either on their team

There are other players that are hated just as much as these guys. One is Jack Hughes of the Devils. He's a whiny baby who cries and cries about every little thing he sees as something wrong against him on the ice. Meanwhile, he brags that "people pay to see him play", while Jersey has a half-filled arena. Sure thing, Little Guy. So, think outside of big hitters and defensemen.

The thing about Trouba's hits are he starts low and raises high into his hits instead of staying level. It's essentially charging without leaving his feet, he plays dirty.
