@sarahprince24123 жыл бұрын
That really WAS the worst injury compared to all these clips. And no, we can't include players who unfortunately died because that's a whole different topic. I'm just referring to players that had these types of injuries and survived. I'm not trying to take away from these players because you never want to see a player hurt(even if it is someone you dislike) but Malarchuk could have literally DIED on that ice if that trainer wasn't there. On top of that he tried to commit suicide(thank God he didn't succeed) many years later. I just felt so bad for him after going through that shit. So these are bad but no one takes the cake yet(hopefully we WON'T ever get a repeat of that) on Malarchuk's injury.

Sadly, a hockey player has now passed away due to being cut in the neck by another player. He was playing a game in the UK when the other player fell and in turn cut the with his skate right in the neck. Some of the hockey players are now starting to wear neck guards. Hopefully, its a piece of gear that more and more hockey players will wear

I've been cut by a skate in the back of the thigh before. Went to make a hit and he turned is back, so I turned as much as I could to try to avoid the hit but still got him. He fell forward and kicked the back of my thigh as he fell forward. Luckily he caught more of my pant than my leg, but enough to make me bleed. I got lucky because trained medical personnel we required to be on the bench, she told me I didn't need stitches, stopped the bleeding and patched me up. Got back out on the ice to finish the game.

So all these injuries but still wear half assed helmets that don’t cover shit. 😂 Like WTF blades to the face and neck are risky. You’d figure they would take action and require safer head,face, & neck protection. Shit is just dumb to me.
Cages and ear guards should be mandatory. Neckguards wouldn't be a bad idea either. And if you're on the other side of the argument, then why did they make visors, helmets, and all of the other padding mandatory? I'd rather see them play without padding to be honest.
