Against flying monster, the best way is jump attack. It deals damage and also knocks down the enemy.

I dont like how dodging and evading don't cancels your other on going animation. You're stuck in your other actions. Its annoying when I see an attack coming and I press block or dodge and it doesn't perform the command because I'm stuck in my attacking animation. It forces you to preemptively block/dodge instead of performing them reactively, this mechanic doesn't flow well together in combat.

It's about positioning and choosing your attacking opportunities wisely. Step back, observe the battlefield, look for enemies that are away from the group, and attack them. And also remember the longer you're wailing on an enemy, the more vulnerable you end up being because another enemy will come over to you to ruin your day. Stop wailing on an enemy after a moment and run away to repeat your "step back and observe" strategy. You don't have to take down an enemies health in one go. It's better to be safe than tear through fights. That's what games like this are about, optimizing between offense and defense. It's not supposed to be flowy, loose and reactive like the Batman Arkham games. it's risky, rigid, and methodical like the Yakuza series or a nice beatem up. If your looking for a game that's methodical like this one where you observe before going into action, but smooth blocking and evading wise sort of like the Batman games, i'd recommend Final Fantasy 15. Like this game, the combat is just misunderstood.

RPG, Always love your video... your the divinity god glad you are doing this game commentary and walkthrough...only thing you didn’t explain was charged attacks? I think you can hold down R2 and for long range attacks Keep up the good work

Cheers mate. Forgot about charge attacks but you can go without them, not that important. For ranged attacks its R1. I mentioned ranged attacks, just didnt say which button. R2 + any button are skills.

Did equipment passive affect each other? Like if i have a gun with status + and a poison axe did they affect each other? Or the status + affect only the weapon with that effect?

Question, can you make a little video properly teaching how to use zing right, I'm playing on the PS4, I can't seem to figure out how to use mornstar the spell, I have a team of light higglies on me, more then 8. Played about 12 hours and realized i wasn't touching any of the mechanics. I haven't even used my ranged attack a single time in the game. Whoops! Like you said, it's very easy. I've died once. Now that I have some additional tips, I don't think I will be dying again anytime soon. Thanks!

Can someone tell me what is the difference between physical and magic attacks? I know that each weapon has a physical and a magical number but I’m not sure which attack counts as which. This is because Leander has higher magic attack and he doesn’t seem to do that much damage with his spear.

Magical attacks are skills. Some skills do dmg depending on the physical attack only and it is specified in skill’s description. Physical attacks are square and triangle attacks.

Laphicett Mix Lofty your kingmaker will randomly spawn a yellow ball of light in battle, touch it and you can spam Skills all you want, at their highest form. You can only up the frequency Lofty generate that yellow orb through the kingmaker’s cathedral in Evermore. Hope that helps

what's the point of range attack when skill just have much higher dps? It is so stupid that it cost magic point to do range attack.

I used them for closing gaps and keeping the target locked down. You can still move while using them. So use ranged to close distance and once you're close, use melee.

gray use Shanty/Tani with poison bow and status + weapon. You see how broken is range attack

Hey rpg division i discovered some Combat modifier using cheat engine that makes the game challenging . Google Ni No Kuni 2 difficulty mod and u will see a reddit post .
