I'm 63 and just started learning watercolor and drawing. Your voiceover was really helpful, particularly your explanation of vanishing points and eye level. This is the first video I have come across to cover those things. I've watched several of your videos and also appreciate your choice of music. As a musician, I often find the music in instructional videos to be annoying to the point of distraction. Your selections always seem to be interesting. Thanks for the great video.

Wonderful video, thank you so much! My mum was an artist but I lost her before I had a chance to learn from her. Your videos share so much knowledge that I know I need to honor my Mum’s memory. One day I will copy my favorite painting that she made.

Thank you for sharing your tips. The one that stood out to me is finding the eyeline and having the heads of all people at that level.

As a person who needs to control…..I get sooooo anxious when you first start laying down color…..I’m thinking (it’s too dark, your covering up the shapes) and I get scared like it’s not going to look good. I’ve forced myself to watch and be open minded and not judge…..and just let you finish your process…..and each time I am so amazed. It’s a lesson for me to give up the control (the need to paint within the lines) and to calm myself. The ending reveal is always rewarding. Thank you.

Thanks Niaz - learning so much from you and hoping to paint much better in the future. Love your style and relaxed technique. I lost my lovely wife 2 years ago after 46 years together and learning to paint has been so healing for me. I think you're doing so much more than just teaching people how to paint - you're helping to heal and restore those of us who are injured, bereaved, hurting and lonely to find peace, contentment and calmness. You are an inspiration my friend and I wish you every blessing in the future.

Hi Niaz - I’m learning so much from all your urban street videos - your voice-over is great and I equally enjoy the silent ones, (i especially like your choice of music pieces). I’m 62yrs. old and just this year discovered I can draw and paint - but I’m so much in need of formal instruction. You’ve made it possible for me to finally explore painting the urban scenes I’ve only thought about but never tried for 45 years. Now I can play and it’s so exhilarating !! I’m so lucky I discovered your channel. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 thank you.

Unbelievable: You make it look so easy and natural, your talent it mind blowing, and your paintings are amazing, I try copy what you do, because I love your paintings. I'm a beginner painter and would love to know why you tell people how you paint and don't get paid for it, or is or subscribers' money to you though KZbin, so this is an income. I would pay money for what you show me on KZbin and can't believe it's free to me, not that I can afford it, but I get great satisfaction on your videos on what I can gain from it. Thanks again. It's hard for me to gain experience without paying money, it how my mid work, sorry. Many thanks. Simplicity is Gold.

Wow. You really taught me something. I'm a watercolor artist just getting back to painting. I was frozen wondering how to start. I didn’t want to do the usual simple florals. I wanted to jump in and do what seemed like intense street scenes and you made it look so easy and fearless. I've had great art teachers when I was in school and I miss that so much. You brought it back in such a powerful simplistic way. Thank you for awakening that love for watercolors back into my life. Also I'm amazed at how simple your pallette. I'm usually stressed out about having the right color 😅. Not anymore. I truly can't thank you enough.

At the end of the demonstration, I had a difficult time deciding which painting that I liked better, but in the end I chose the first one. Although the second one was certainly the more dynamic of the two. Great job.....I am your avid fan and learning so much. Such an excellent no-bullshit channel this is. I’ve been struggling with watercolor for so long and I think I haven’t paid enough attention to drawing basics. Perspective is to art what rhythm is to music. If your rhythm is off, your music will suck. So it is with art.
