2 Things that are important about this video: 1) Thank You Omar for not talking about tge same 10 fragrances all the time, but not talking about 100 different fragrances. You have a great balance. 2) We need more 30 ML Options. As a collector there are some fragrances I just will never use more than that in a reasonable amount of time. I think Interlude black Iris is one of those in my life I just don't have the situational use for it. But I think it's a masterpiece.

I recently bought Sartorial during my trip in Tokyo (not available in my country) and it's the best thing I've ever smelled. I also enjoyed a lot more scents from their collection and I'm really looking forward to getting more from the house.

Omar, a video of great layering combos would be an idea, two 10/10 clone fragrances you rate are incredible to wear together: Al Harmain Detour Noir and Lattafa Oud for Glory. Unbelievable scent trail worn together 👍

@@mikey-lym I mean it’s vanilla and Amber at the Drydown which are common notes but it’s executed perfectly so even with the occurrence of these notes being everywhere, it doesn’t make it less special. If it was priced at 150 at 70ml I’d buy a second one tbf

I already own a bottle of Monkey Special, so I had to try Deified as well. I cannot really see any similarities between both to be honest. The problem for me was that Deified develops an extremely weird smell on my skin to a point where it is almost nauseating. Same with Encelade. Even on a test strip my nose is picking something up that throws me off a bit. I think it's so interesting that everyone's sense of smell works differently. Nawab of Oud sounds really interesting. I gotta try that one if I get the chance.

Love Oud Maracuja and Hibiscus Mahajad from Crivelli after testing them in Selfridges. But recently got the Chocs Olfactifs set and I think Tubereuse Astrale and Oud Stallion are better!

Hey, Omar, awesome list as always! I would recommend you to check out the other two ouds from Maison Crivelli - Oud Stallion (it was formerly a Harrods exclusive) and the newest Oud Cadenza. Maison Crivelli have a very handy 5 ml samples which last for a long time and are at reasonable price. For me Oud Stallion is the best out of the three - the most balanced and intriguing at the same time. Oud Cadenza is very easy to wear and understand, very powerful gourmand and some aspects of it remind me of Stronger with you Absolutely strangely enough. Oud Maracujá is the loudest and the most "in your face". All this is personal opinion, of course - will love to hear your thoughts on the other two! Two more that I think are worth it are - Oud Aquilaria by Oman Luxury and Falcon Leather by Matiere Premiere. Cheers!

Deified didnt do it for me at all. I will say the notes are extremely noticeable. It smells like 100 old people with all different 1 note fragrances on in a small room. Not overwhelming, but not blended well. 😅

I have both Tony Iommi's i prefer monkey special since i go nose blind to deified almost immediately. I agree totally on merchant of venice, I picked up arabesque and rococco recently out of the murano line and really like them especially roccoco. Could you do a deeper dive into the brand at some point since not many of the decant and sample sites have many of their offerings and i would like to know a bit more about the house.

A fragrance that is cheaper but similar to Grand Soir is Suma Oriental by Une Nuit Nomade. I own both and reach for whichever is closest they are so similar in scent, projection, and longevity.

Grand soir is very nice, I’m 20 and this might be my first niche fragrance I add to my collection and when I say collection I’m just starting mine now Armani code parfum is in that list it’s my fav fragrance I’ve had so far, alongside Prada Luna ocean edt, lataffa oud honor & glory so any recommendations would be nice, I like Givenchy reservee too but I need to think on a budget right now

If you like grand soir, then try Une Nuit Nomade’s Suma Oriental. It’s more cost effective and they smell, last and project almost the same.
