Like so many who have suffered a psychological crisis Nick had an experience where he felt his mind and heart had opened to an expanded sense of reality-what he called a wider more colorful vision. He felt this opening offered him a new freedom from obsessive, controlling and limiting thoughts. This gave him more confidence in social situations, especially with his speech. He lost the crippling aspect of his severe, lifelong stutter and was able to speak clearly for the first time.
Phil Borges was reminded of an interview with Paul Stamets, a world-renowned mycologist, in which he described losing his lifelong stutter while under the influence of psilocybin mushrooms.

As a person who stutters, this is something I’m looking into. Countless hours of speech therapy hasn’t done shit! Then add PTSD on top of that.. complete shit show at times! Thanks for the information.

Cyril Boueiz haven’t really had to chance to fully indulge in the experiment due to “Life’s Situations” but it’s not off the table on what I plan to do. So, no real updates at this time other than I’ve slowed down on drinking thanks to mushrooms 🍄!! Lol
