Sandra Ingerman, MA, had a spiritual awakening as a child and has experienced three near death experiences. At seven she was struck by lightning, as a teen in Mexico she had to be revived after nearly drowning in the ocean and in her 20s she accidentally drove her car off a cliff. Through her own healing journey, she found the importance of connecting to her creativity and nature, and finding meaning, passion and purpose in life.
Sandra is now a licensed marriage and family therapist, mental health counselor and a board-certified expert on traumatic stress. As a world-renowned teacher of shamanism, she has been teaching workshops internationally on shamanic journeying and healing for over 30 years. Sandra is recognized for bringing traditional healing methods to our Western culture and is passionate about helping people reconnect with nature. She has helped thousands of people heal from past and present traumas through the shamanic healing method of Soul Retrieval. We met with Sandra for this interview at her home in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Hi Sandra, Rahila here :-), it's an honour to connect with you here maam. :-). I love your video, thank you for sharing. I'm a newly awakening soul, who resides in the west, so Shamanic healing has been a catch up for me consciously. Nonetheless i'm really pleased my higher team and God put me on to it last year, and that I listened to their intuitive guidance and followed it up through self-learning. Since then, i've been totally hooked. Completely fascinated and in awe of the light side of Shamanic healing. :-). The child in me feels like she's breathing fresh air, or coming up to the surface from the depths of a dark deep ocean... Personally, my humble opinion is, Shamanic Healing should be incorporated into mainstream healing, whatever spiritual path any genuine soul chooses to take. With all the misery and catastrophe on our Earth realm, I personally feel if Shamanic Healing does become part of global normality in future centuries, this realm will be so much better off. A lot more zen, everyone will be more interconnected and joyful! :-). Hopefully in a better position to assend to higher celestial realms following their Earth lives, more quickly and effectively. Anyway, i'll be having Shamanic healing next year, and i am absolutely excited! :-). With light work Shamanic Healing, i've read nothing but inspiring information. I can't wait to be part of the presently elite high-flying client population!!! :-) :-). I have realistic expectations (since i've calmed down sufficently from the hype LOL), so all my rose-tinted romantic notions of my lifestyle beyond the healing work have vannished. I'm just looking forward to having former Rahila's spirit back, and making the best of her here at school, for my own holistic development and to serve God in my best way ever. Despite my present additional need (I chose to experience a big chunk of this lifetime with blindness) despite that for the moment, I have faith that Shamanic Healing will be one of those expeirences which I can access and make the best of. Regarding your viewpoint regarding spiritual healing practices, I reckon quantum Hypnosis and clinical hypnosis should be up there with the top ten practices. I'd also add: transpersonal psychology and chacra yoga. :-). Anyway thank you again for caring and sharing with us ordinary folk LOL, and well done maam. totally agree ! Every society since the beginning of time have had rituals of connection, exploring the mind and nature, and transcendance. The shaman holds the sacred space for people to journey. In our modern societies we are suffering from a disconnect.

Oh my gosh, people don't get bamboozled into a mindset of fear. Remember, you can choose whether to live and act out of love and appreciation, or lack thereof. This is Sandra's message. If you are living in alignment with the greater good, then you are aligned with the web of life Sandra speaks of. It is the field in which we all exist, plants, animals, water, air, mushrooms, etc. are made up of energy (spirit). We are not separate and never have been. It's a lie we've been sold by brutal forces who wish to exploit another. Please remember that we are participants in this experience of life and it's more beautiful when you appreciate the energy and power of all species, who are *all* an expression of the great intelligence. Let's not get lost in our heads lol If your intentions are good and you live in love and in service to love, there is nothing to fear.

CONFUSED... Shamanism is for certain people only? I have been told it is very dangerous to use certain ceremonies or rituals... i have incorporated teachings from other modalities, can the same be done with Shamanism? I just purchased the book of ceremony and knowing i will not live long enough to become a Shaman, and will self teach from books , Is It A Safe practice .

I would not do it if I was you. But it is a calling. The spirits have to want you or want to work with you. Now, if you are a true Christians, you will be playing with fire if you do it.
