Nick's 65 Impala SS Update LS Swap - Intake, stereo, and trunk lid

In this short update, Nick walks us through a few of the new changes he's done to his LS-1965 Impala SS, including adding a trick radiator valance in the engine bay, fixing a vacuum leak on the intake, repairing some trunk bolts, and more!
This 65 Impala was Nick's first car. He bought it when he was 16 years old and has put many miles on it over the years. It's the perfect blend of original, restomod, pro touring, and has a really tasteful selection of upgrades.

Hi Nick . Nice to see the lmpala again . I do Like the Impala of that era. It's very elegant . That "glue " you couldn't think of we call it ""Locktite" here in the UK . Hey nick, in your opinion what is a great suspension for the 65? Coilivers? Looking for reliability Or what company to go with, qa1, ridetech? If price wasnt a factor

Not a huge fan of replacing the engine with a modern one, in 15 years time you have a 65 with an old LS motor in it, but if you had put a big block in it or even a nice small block it never ages.

Yeah, the engine ( old motor BBC/SBC never ages except try to tune the carb every few months.... and by the way the ls engines are 24+ year old now and they are still going strong.

@@SD70ACE- Growing up with carbs I can tell you they are a lot more reliable than this crap about tuning it every couple of months, carbs are not a problem that is all bullshit. I had a Kawasaki ZZR600 never had to clean the carbs or do anything to it and it always ran faultlessly and the same with my 95 Ducati 750ss not to mention the old belair I had.

It’d be all I could do to NOT fill in some of that engine bay with a supercharger and/or two big bore turbos.
