Nick’s form on cable pullovers are perfect. This has been one exercise I keep trying to get good at. Sometimes I feel deep stretching and contractions other days I feel like I’m just going thru the motions 😖
@alanbialeck94810 ай бұрын
Those used to be called Lee haney's. Nick's form is very good on that exercise. However, if Nick wants to give himself the best chance of winning the olympia, he has to start doing pull-ups. When Nick can do five sets of 12 reps and a regular pull up he will be unbeatable at the Olympia. He is letting the other guys be competitive by not working on the width of his back from the front and back. Bar none, pull-ups are the best for keeping your waist small and your lats wide. It is if Joe weider and God got together and said this is for my bodybuilders. Is posing of those poses needs to improve but the absolute key for him is doing pull-ups. I don't like the Dorian Yates split but with all the muscle he has he needs to just do the freaking pull-ups. I know he doesn't look at these but I wish somebody who knows him personally will direct him to read this and respond
@charlotte320110 ай бұрын
@@alanbialeck948 Nick literally said his main goal is to improve his front lat spread and bring up his width from the front. Pull ups are a fantastic exercise but when you're as big as nick it's almost impossible to get a full range of motion because his bi's just squish against his forearms

All shows are won from the Back 💪

How? Are back shots weighted differently on the judges score cards? Typically if you have a lights out back shot, your front looks good. But back alone can not win shows unless everyone is off 😊
@Psychedelic43010 ай бұрын
@@rikachiu not really , Derek had one of the best backs at this olympia but his front was not even close.
@rikachiu10 ай бұрын
@@Psychedelic430 Strong disagree. His front double may not be as condtioned, but it is still among the best. His shape from the front is almost unbeatable.
@Psychedelic43010 ай бұрын
@@rikachiu who Derek? Dude his front is way behind versus his back.
@rikachiu10 ай бұрын
@@Psychedelic430 My initial comment said, a bodybuilder with a light's out back has a great front. Never did I say his back matches his front. However, in Derek's case, his front is still better than the vast majority of the top 20 olympians. His shape and symmetry from the front is essentially lights out when compared to all of them. Nick has the freak factor, but Derek still wins in shape from the front. His quads are insane. Winning a show can not be done with back alone if your front is shit. That was the point. I prefer Nick's freaky look though.

Great job,Nick,on keeping the muscle contraction at a steady goal. Not settling either, but always keeping tension(positive and negative) and growth as your main focus, coupled with'right eating'and enough rest/ recovery is key to staying mentally and physically where you need to be. Do keep with the focus, the intensity, and the persistence with your lifestyle, while having fun doing it.

Here is why I don't count reps. I been counting for many many years and now I'm now over it combined with the fact that my main focus is going to failure and beyond therefore I loose count even if I am counting and because my reps are so slow and controlled counting is irrelevant to where it's better to actually time my rest itself to know my time under tension instead
