Small correction: the mounting holes are standard m3 clearance holes. The hole in the PCB will be larger than the heatsink so that the heatsink takes most of the load

I'm so glad to hear that. I panicked a bit when I heard a 30x30 would move to M2. The 20x20 had M3, which I thought was out of the norm for a 20x20. I was really hoping the 30x30 wouldn't use M2, since 30x30 definitely is standardized on M3.

The biggest difference I notice is that with the analog, the whole image jumps around a little bit during the break up which does make it harder to fly through imo. The hd zero breaks up but the overall image stays rock solid. To me, that's a big plus!

@@robert_g_fbg if I'm correct that's 20x20. I got a whoop 26x26 adapter. I would take a whoop due to more room over holes in the board like the 20x20. The race v2 wouldn't fit in my glide due to the awkward shape and position of the holes.

The little plug is for the control board. At least on the whoop board I’ve used that to physical change the Chanel and output power! I think you can also adjust cam settings if the camera has a settings menu, will have to double check manual

One thing I recently learned from watching Wesley do range tests is that with the top of the output band (e.g. Raceband 8), your VTX output will actually drop off significantly. Not sure how much it drops typically, but on the HDzero VTX it went from 1000 mW down to ~350 mW.

Do you think it'll be possible for hdzero to make an rx that fits into normal fatshark module bay? And use the bays pin connectors? If not connectors in bay at least fit the bay and still have hdmi jumper? That would be the thing that would take away all hesitation to jump on board for me at least. I don't want to get the rx knowing it's a couple yrs old and a new one will probably be dropping this yr based on how fast our tech moves...

@@CrawlersCampRc Yes, as long as we have working hdmi input on the goggles they will work. I have heard the skyzone 03x have the hdmi input but don't work, but that is only one case. I have also come across a few people that have hdmi input ports but they don't work, nothing does. Test with a computer before buying. Plug the video from a computer into the goggle hdmi port.

What happens with HDZ if the signal goes completely? Can you just punch out and it come back? Or is it like DJI and one it’s gone, it’s gone? Being a DJI user, I love the breakup of HDZero, it’s so tempting to switch but the vtx still looks to fragile in comparison to the vista, as you know with the DJI it blurs instead of snows and if you do not know where you are flying you can get into trouble very quickly, at our field we’re always playing chicken in the woods to see who can get furthest before the video gives out.

I notice the flicker far more in analog. In the worst cases with analog I can “feel it”. When dji starts to “decompose” I only notice when flying slow.

Hence performance wise analog and hdzero simply out perform the dji system. So it comes down to do you want to trade flight performance for no break up. Also what kind of locations do you fly? Consider Mr steele for example. He flies spits harder than most and makes use of more of the average spot than the average person yet he's on analog. There's truly only so far you actually need to go in freestyle. Performances vs full time image
