For me, this song has helped me a lot over the years. Strangely for me, this song has has helped me on my walk with christ. I know this isnt at all a christian song but thats how ive grown to see it as in a way. Ive always felt like i dont deserve to be saved and this song helps remind me that i can and am saved in the blood of jesus christ. Just sometimes feel like i cant be saved and this song helps me with it.

Same fighting a mental battle using coke and smoking nonstop. Drinking and always hanging solo. Lost all good friends but two i still talk too it isn't the same. I was still on the road to recovery from drug abuse. This song came across the radio at the time I was with my husband. I had a craving to go back to my drug addiction. This song hits a personal note with me. And some of its lyrics do reflect the silence of my pain/mental scars. Struggling with my demons that have resulted from: being emotionally abused from a teacher that I had in grade 5 & 6,bullying from peers (up to the 9th grade),lonliness,friendlessness,meds that screwed up my body & zombified my mind,becoming a porn addict,feeling ugly with my mental illness & disorders,shattered dreams, keeping my acne rosacea under control,and finally poor sleeping habits. Praise the Lord. On those moments when the devil attacks and tempts you to despair it's helpful to just fall to your knees in prayer, asking for the Holy Spirit to come and comfort you. I am often tempted to despair because of the sin in my life and one thing that I have learned(although I don't practice it enough) is that in those moments we both glorify Him and become stronger in the faith when we go to Him for rest and relief.
