We are a local lawn and landscaping company based out of Freeburg IL. Family owned/operated and started from the ground up. My brother (Nic) and I (Alex) are doing our best to build a company we will be happy to work in. It has been an adventure and a struggle at times but I wouldn’t trade it for the world! We began our journey on youtube to document our company history and we would be happy to have you along for the ride! We have big dreams and have hardly scratched the surface of where we want to be.

Nice job on getting that old paint off! Spray if you want however rolling it on will last longer. I’ve done spray before and it puts it on in a lot thinner coats. I use that gloss black rust-oleum oil based and rolled it on my dump bed and trailer and it puts it on thicker and is really durable.

If your local Parts House don't I would say it's definitely worth the wait if you had to order it. This is a step you do not want to forget if you mean what you say about wanting to look more presentable in 2020 this product will make it stand the test of time

I've used the same paint for years. Tractors and trailers, I would recommend using the hardener. You will just get a much better product and it will last much longer for very little money. Another trick that we used to do was to attach a chain to the frame and let it rest on the ground. It helped with static and debris sticking to the area that your painting. Also if you put paper down on the ground of your shop it will help with clean-up (dont use plastic drop cloths, they will stick to your feet and make a mess) paper helps absorb the paint. Those are some cheap easy tips to use. Cant wait to see the finished product.

I'm be painting my trailers Thursday I don't spend a lot of time on prep mostly just pressure wash and wire wheel any bad spots them I paint them every winter it keeps them looking nice. I'm debating on switching colors this year all my trailer are black for lawncare and my company colors are yellow and grey so I'm thinking of going to bright yellow to make them more noticeable.
@nickenslandscapingexcavating
@nickenslandscapingexcavating 4 жыл бұрын
Yellow would be sweet if those are the company colors! Harder to keep clean but if you do them every year they can't be to bad.

Hey do yourself a favor since you are spending the money to do it right make sure you buy some converter to spray on that bare metal that has surface rust if not that surface rust will come back through your nice paint most auto parts store should have a good rust converter

I’d suggest using a semi gloss black. It helps hide imperfections better than the gloss. Also I haven’t had the best luck with tractor supply paint. I think rustoleum is better for the price.

Sell etch primer and single stage urethane i use Mason urethane paint easy to mix and comes out hard as rocks Rust oleum is a soft paint and has zero uv protection so it will full and scratch easy also invest in a needle gun it'll save you hours of prepping and really knocks off the scale Finally seriously the carport will not work get the truck super hot with bullet heaters move it outside have it all pre masked spray it quickly move it back inside with your bobcat or couple guys the oversprsy without serious suction will get over everything....ask me how I know.....I just finished a 71 c10 chassis I can email you before and after pics if you want to see the finished product

@@nickenslandscapingexcavating if you are going to paint inside put the carport up against your outside doors with it cracked open with box fans pointing out make sure you wet everything around the carport like the walls floor door etc with water so that the oversprsy will not stick Needle is harsh on the hands and ears but works amazing especially for cleaning up hard to reach areas on the chassis

I wouldn’t use the manic paint. I have had really bad luck with it. I have had good luck with the rustolem tractor paint you have in the background. Just my 2 cents but I painted a 16ft trailer with the magic gloss black with the reducer and Hardner mixed in and it didn’t do very good.

Nickens Lawn & Landscape LLC definitely because you will need to regulate how much air goes into the gun those guns run around 40 psi or something like that and before you do whatever take the drain plug up the air compressor moisture should get out I dream mine regularly A lot of water come out I always keep my gan open Completely Then I play with in order when Will dictate how much pain goes out if your gun has a regulator in the bottle how much pressure goes and just put it open and regulate with the in-line regulator
