It is impossible for me to pick out a favorite song of Dan’s, they are all so good and evoke so much emotion. But this song. I cry whenever I hear it which means there are times I actually have to make a choice not to listen to it. This song is so much about love and hope and joy. Dan’s glorious voice and his own emotions when he sings just pull you into everything he does. I just…well, there is no way to express the glory of what this man can do. Oh my gosh, I know this song. The original was touching my heart but Dan is killing it. His voice puts a fire in me and make s my heart burn. I did read that this was done so that proceeds would go to a children's cancer center in Brazil. If this is true he couldn't have picked a more perfect song. My second favorite rendition that Dan Vasc does after Amazing Grace! His voice is so beautiful here, and like you said, he takes it up, down, adds little voice changes that makes the way he sings absolutely mesmerizing! I've heard the original several times, while the singer is quite good, Dans voice is richer and fuller which helps make this song his own. The original by Dragonforce is awesome, but Dan's vocal prowess adds about 50,000 volts of power to it. This is better than the orginal, imo. Dan said that he didn't think anyone would REALLY like this because it was a "lazy cover", he just did it like the orginal, no big differences, because he just likes the song. I wonder if this is so good because he was really enjoying doing it. Thanks for your reaction!!

Thanks. Just subscribed. Dan has a gorgeous deep register as well. (Well, of course he does. 😊) Try Amazing Grace if you haven’t already, and, believe it or not, Adele’s Rolling in the Deep. I’ve never been a fan of hers, but Dan makes it into a great song that shows off many of his vocal strengths. It’s impossible to fully appreciate his voice without quite a few different examples. You have such an interesting journey ahead of you!

Dan has such a great voice and an astonishing vocal range. I love the way he does this song.
