I would paint the built ins. Normally I’m against painting nice wood finished furniture but it would really make the room look cohesive.you could even do the door if you wanted but I don’t know what you need it to look like on the other side o work with the rest of the house. I would also look at bringing in a couple of plants. You get great light through the windows and you can always hang them so they don’t take up any surface space.

Thanks so much, so happy to have you as a subscriber! I typed the numbers out in very small font, printed on thick copy paper (not as thick as I use for cards) the. Used hole puncher to punch out the numbers. Then small amount of double sided adhesive to stick them to the end of the marker.

@NickiHeartsCards2 жыл бұрын
I just run them under water then rub on microfiber cloth to dry. Some inks will stain them but most of them come out
@bethbenson19312 жыл бұрын
Wonderfully organized room. And so gorgeous! Guess you don't use your Gemini much. My back hurt when you said you use it on the floor. Most of my organizing things come from thrift stores. I have lots of those two white shelf things. They are shoe organizers for the bottom of a closet. Usually find them at Goodwill for $3.79 each. Just thought I would tell people that there are cheaper options if you can't afford your lovely units from Ikea. Happy creating!
@NickiHeartsCards2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Yes, always cheaper options. It’s what works for you. I love sitting on the floor so having my Gemini there saves me space, but that’s definitely not for everyone. Thanks so much for checking out my craft room! Have a great day!🥰

@NickiHeartsCards2 жыл бұрын
The liquid ones in the drawer are Hero Arts but watch this video - because re-inkers for some ink pads work just as well so you may be able to save some money by getting colors that work with your ink pads. My fave ink pads with re-inkers are Catherine Pooler because they come in sets the coordinate with each other. I used them in this video and it has links in the description. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6q8paeIZq-ZipI

Saw on your blog that you are a Nurse Practitioner. I’m an RN also and am kicking myself for not going forward to get my bachelors degree and potentially a NP as well. I could still be working now had I done that. Cannot do the RN “grunt work” any longer. Body is screaming at me! Had to stop working end of June due to a persistent foot wound that supposedly was healed in May. Wound opened back up beginning of June, cellulitis started a week after that and had 4 rounds of Keflex over the summer. Two surgeries this summer/wound vac (first I&D dehisced and I couldn’t do dressing changes well as incision on side of foot I couldn’t see the wound, so wound vac) with second surgery for two months and back on SSID (so frustrating as I want to get, get that for crafting). Ruined my whole summer. Will never deal with the Wound Clinic again and instead go directly to Ortho. Have been dealing with this for 3 years. Surgeon removed the “nub” on the 5th metatarsal on second I&D and wound is almost healed/callus not coming back. Guess that was the answer. 👏👏👏. Just cannot go back to caring for disabled kids that weigh 80# plus and lifting them into their wheelchair with parents that refuse to use a hoyer. Now dealing with low back/hip issues and pain down my lateral right thigh. Had I gone back to further my education as an RN, I could still work. Went for Computer Information Systems and got my Bachelors in that when in my early 40s. When I finished in 2003, barely any jobs for a newbie at the time due to layoffs after Y2K, so……..went back to the hospital to work as a nurse. Had to leave the hospital 10 years ago due to physical issues. Now there’s all sorts of IT jobs, but not for an OLD person with no experience. 🤣. Glad you got your NP! Will be easier in the long run for you. Every nurse should think about that. 😉

So sorry about all your health issues. Being in healthcare is definitely physically demanding especially on the RNs. I am glad you are on the mend! Thanks so much for checking out my channel. Wishing you a healthy, happy 2023!

Thanks Nicki! I better with my foot thankfully/PTL! Now to tackle the back/leg problem. MRIs on lumbar and pelvis and hope the hip joints show up on the latter cuz I’m sure I need hip replacements. Nerve pain down lateral right and o er top of thigh is driving me NUTS! Wakes me up at night unless I stay positioned just right. Injections don’t really help all that much. I’m going bionic! 🤣 Had total knees in ‘07 an ‘10. Hips started almost 4 years ago. I have DISH Syndrome, so spurs from C2 to my toes. Something all the time. My doc told me when diagnosed with it in 2010 said I was the only woman in his practice with it. 😳. Lol. Just have to take it day by day. And pray 🙏 for endurance. Appreciate all your videos. Both long and the #shorts! Must be difficult working, kids and trying to craft. You have a lot of energy. I couldn’t do it. 😉 TFS!

Amazing room. I am thinking about what I want to do for my upcoming craft room and I have a question. It seems like most of the craft rooms are white (and often from ikea). Is there a reason for the white furniture? Other than personal preference?
@NickiHeartsCards2 жыл бұрын
I think it’s a couple things- personal preference is a big one but I film a lot and want my room to be as bright and light reflecting as possible.
@ireneyaburns96532 жыл бұрын
@Nicki Hearts Cards I appreciate the super quick response. I have always wanted my own room and now that we are moving to the new house - I'll get one and I was thinking of just finding storage for cheap on the internet and painting it so it matched. I understand that white does make things brighter, does that assist in the crafting process or just a filming process?
@NickiHeartsCards2 жыл бұрын
You’re welcome. Sorry this one took a little longer. I feel like I can see the colors better because everything around them is bright but that’s just how my eyes operate and may just be my preference. Do your work surface, a darker option is helpful. I have a dark mat on my desk otherwise my white desk would be stained with all kinds of stuff.
