I like how you are a bilingual family: everybody talks easily in their native language and everybody else understands. Skye is probably best at just keeping to one language at a time, but everybody else uses their preferred language and it works. I've even seen this done with 3 languages at once in some European families. Happy New Year!

He did well in -5 😆 have to say that a -20 dry cold in Saskatchewan can be as bad as a -5 in France or England where it's a damp, bone chilling type of cold!

@@coolbreeze5683 I agree with that damp, bone-chilling comment. The damp cold is so much worse and even though the temps appear to be warmer, it feels colder and like you'll never be warm again 😂

It’s true damp cold of the UK can feel very cold, but it pretty much doesn’t matter when you hit minus 20 and colder. You do get used to it for sure. Carlos hasn’t had t(e chance yet for that to happen.😂

You guys should be in Positano! I’m here for 12 days for my first visit, and the weather is sunny and fantastic! I’m walking around in a T-shirt from 11-3. Last night was New Year’s Eve, and it was one that I will never forget! So many fireworks, it went on for 35 minutes as each neighborhood or a house would let off 1-2 minutes of fireworks and then another house would do the same thing, on and on. And then of course the big main fireworks/crowds are on the beach, which was so much fun! Incredibly loud sitting in this canyon that Positano is in. Thank you so much for your videos that inspired me to come to Positano. I still have nine more days!

We can just lump all the countries (except Mexico and Canada) into one mailing. No need to separate. If you ever change your mind about a hard copy book, please don’t rush like that to mail them. Those who bought your book may have just been interested in supporting you, not necessarily because they wanted your recipes. When we lived in the Boston area those road delay due to other drivers looking at what’s happening was called a curiosity delay. In other places they call it rubber necking! Sara and Luca’s place was magical in the snow and Troyes looked charming with the old style buildings.

🌜Was in bed and sound asleep early but was awakened at midnight by 20 minutes of incredibly loud fireworks being set off across town! AND I purchased the cookbook in e-book form and and had it printed locally. I chose the larger size but had it spiral bound like the one Nicki had done. It came out beautifully! The pictures are absolutely beautiful...colors are stunning! So delighted to have it! Thank you to Nicki, Carlo, Skye and Nicki's father for spending part of their Christmas preparing the books to be sent around the world! I don't blame Nicki for not wanting to take any more orders!

First things first……I never thought about the amount of work needed to mail the cookbooks. Thank you. The scenery on the drive to England was beautiful. It’s obvious that Holly and Indie love their Grandfather. How cute. Nicki, we had to take a written test to get our license in California after moving from Atlanta. Happy New Year Felice Anno Nuovo! -5 degrees is also cold on the west coast of Canada Vancouver. It rarely dips to below 0 or snows. Vancouver weather is similar to UK weather. The grass is green all year and have seen roses still in bloom especially sheltered areas. We had a historic cold and snow event before Christmas. That weather system was from Siberia and pushed eastward towards Eastern Canada and Northeast USA. It was a snow hurricane. People were not prepared and were trapped in vehicles and homes. The snow disappeared quickly here and back to typical winter temperatures. I agree with Carlo skiing. Hate cold and skiing. Would rather be warm and cozy drinking a hot chocolate or cappuccino. My heart melts seeing the dogs. They are lucky dogs. Holly is lucky to be rescued by you.

Nicki, In the us you can actually send a document digitally to FedEx and order it to be printed on nice paper and bound however you want and then to pick it up. I myself have purchased your book and just sit my iPad on my counter to see the recipes when I make them. Works great.

Hello Carlo and Nicki, what a frosty morning you left on even to the point of not being able to open your car door wow! Lovely to see how the landscape changes though when driving through different countries. The snow always makes for a pretty picture but I am with you Carlo and would want to be some where warm with a hot chocolate. Never thought about driving licenses with Brexit hope they get it sorted preferably so you can still drive Nicki. I am not sure I could handle driving through the tunnel, any tunnel, have always disliked confined spaces, even if it saves a lot of time. Had a little giggle to see Indie on her lead and giving you a run for your money around the tree Nicki and little Holly just plodding along at her normal,pace. Thank you so much for all that hard work you did with the book postings..I managed to get one so am very excited! I’m with Carlo I don’t like cold. It rarely gets below ten degrees Celsius (and only at night) here in winter on the Gold Coast Australia and that’s how I like it😂 Hope your return journey is a bit easier!

I am so glad you can still drive in Italy. I am with you Carlos -5 is cold. This Canadian should go south in the winter like so many others. I do see loads if Canadians in shorts in the winter though and don't know how they do it. Nicki you are so very awesome to get all those books posted. I am sure you made many so happy! So glad that your book sales were great. It shows that you have a lot of loyal fans. As you now know for your sanity, an e-book is the way to market your recipes. We love "going to Positano" every week and watching you and Carlos take us on adventures. We were in Positano a few years back and absolutely loved it.
