It's hard to understand how a person that gives that much knowledge for free in such a nice way, doesn't have a million subscribers... Thank you for the great content man!
@thomastuorto99292 жыл бұрын
Probably because he doesn't put a vid out once or twice a week like others just to put out a vid for views. It seems to me he rather put out a higher quality/content vid. Or, quality content over quantity. Hope I said that correctly.
@NickPage Жыл бұрын
@@thomastuorto9929 Thats pretty much exactly it. Some people strive to be full time KZbinrs... I just put out content when i am inspired to do so.. and I try to make those videos something I am actually proud of. There are a lot of people out there that do it just because they have a squarespace ad contract to uphold.

Watched a lot of tutorials over the years and a lot of blending tutorials. Yours (this video and several others I have watched from you) is by far the best ones. Because you walk that fine line between being thorough and advanced, yet somehow managing to make a 5 year old understand each and every step of the way, without becoming a 3 h tutorial.

I love this video. I lost my interest in landscape photography a little, but this one motivates me again. I think that's the best video I've seen on KZbin. I know a little bit about Photoshop. But this kind of blending is new to me. The individual steps that you take here are not known to me either. First of all, I don't look at many landscape photographers posting videos here. But I like your very calm character, plus your pictures are, of course, all phenomenal. I want to take another photo of the Milky Way soon and try to get it done in the same way. I saw your other one too. Just beautiful!

Thanks Nick I have missed these little tutorials over the past year. So today you have inspired me to get out and shot some night scapes with idea of blending. With luck the smoke will clear out over Alberta and Saskatchewan to try these imaging ideas. If not fall is approaching to reduce the number of fires burning. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing your ideas and workflow. I hope we can meet in the future. Howard Koch

I never get tired of these processing videos. I attended your boot camp with Greg Benz and have consumed endless tutorials, but I feel like I forget more techniques than I remember, particularly when weeks or months pass between editing sessions. Always great to be reminded of the best processes and to pick up a few tips (sky selection). It makes me more confident editing and helps speed up the process when I am not casting about trying to remember how to do something.
@NickPage3 жыл бұрын
I hear you, I get rusty myself when it’s been a while and I go through slump swear I feel like I don’t process anything worth a crap… Just like any creative thing it ebbs and flows, and then when you combine it with how technically can be it’s easy to forget tools and techniques
