I’ll never forget the time (one of the super rare times) MJ was having a bad game against the Vancouver Grizzlies. 4th quarter one of the grizzlie players on the bench said some type of trash talk to the GOAT. That was a fun video, thanks. I remember back in the 90s there was a fan by the name of Robin Ficker who I think was a then-Washington bullets season ticket holder. That guy was a great heckler. he was never vulgar or racist or anything like that, he was just very persistent and loud. He would heckle any team, but he really enjoyed razzing Michael when the bulls came to town. I remember one game when he was behind the bulls bench and was standing up and loudly reading out passages from The Jordan Rules book at the bulls bench which even cracked Michael up laughing as he heard it.

Barkley flew him out to Phoenix to heckle him in the 93 finals. I remember watching a game with that dude when we played the Washington bullets and he had a potted plant with him for some reason. Dude with the plant was behind Jordan on the bench on TV and I was just laughing. My grandparents told me about the Washington Bullets fan before the game so I remembered watching and just loving it. These players nowadays will kick the fan out if you get under his skin.

This is admirable for professional players. You have to deal with fans directly and surpass the mental obstacles diverting you from your game. This is why MJ is ICE COLD! That's the difference btw MJ and Bron. Not saying LeBron wouldn't use it as motivation to wreck the guy's team. But with MJ it's on another level. With or without heckling u know he'd still cut your heart out. Try heckling and he'll make sure he ends your soul. This is why MJ was feared, not just respected. While Lebron is also respected as an all-time great. There really isn't the assasin factor in him that strikes fear in opponents.

See, the guys that talked trash to Jordan were really working with him, even if they didn't know it... Jordan needed that adversarial competition to raise his level of competition to get the best out of himself -- that's what he lived for in competition in basketball...whenever you pushed that on him, he'd come back with something greater just because you said he cannot do it...this is great inspiration for anyone telling you that you aren't good enough or that you cannot do something.... Michael Jordan's story is about people believing in themselves when nobody else can, would, could, or should but the person themselves.

LeBron would have had the fan removed. MJ was masculinity on the court. Deep down we all like that. That's why no matter how mean MJ was or how many times we heard about the negative ways he treated his teammates, we all appreciate the masculinity he displayed. It's why we love football. It's why boxing was so popular back in the day. Masculinity makes sports must-watch tv. Today's game is filled with insta-thots that get triggered over every damn thing. They want to gossip about who the GOAT is. And these feminized boys attract feminized fans. The result is the NBA went from the pinnacle, rivaling NFL playoff games, to being less popular than the NFL Pro Bowl. Sport needs more masculinity, not less. Stop dumbing down the game and catering to these guys that take off every third game to get their nails done. Bring back defense and physicality. Make them earn those points.
