I don’t like how as the customer tip goes up, the doordash pay goes down. Id rather them just pay consistently based off distance and total items. It feels slimey but I don’t know. Because they are basically saying hey if you want the driver to earn money then just don’t tip on the app and tip in cash, but most customers don’t know that.

@@PressPauseProductions a former coworker of mine said he basically goes from his town to the big city and back in a string of deliveries, just keep taking deliveries that lead him to the big city and kinda loop his way back home. He typically finds better success this way. Let me elaborate - he will have deliveries nearby, a few roads down from store to customer, take the next order which is closer south toward the city. Keep doing this until he is taking trips around the city then start taking orders from store to customer which lead him to taking runs more and more north and call it a good day

The reason tips can come in late is the customer has 3 ways of tipping in the app, during the order, after the delivery or the next time they open the app. If someone doesn't order with them often it maybe weeks or even months before they open the app again and get the option to rate and tip us.

I work for Door Dash. I refuse all orders from a well known national pizza chain. They don’t start orders until the driver gets there when they’re supposed to be making it when I’m on the way. They also very poor pay outs so they won’t see my red bag anymore. The same thing applies to a different chain restaurant. I’ve been to 4 different of these same restaurants and each one doesn’t start the order until I got there. I’m not being paid by the hour but by trip so they are costing me money by having to 10-15 minutes each time. I’ve seen several that intentionally wait several minutes before they start because they really want something to be perfect when the customer gets it so I understand but the other two are not understandable.

Uber now does busy boost pay and also quest. I got approved for both Uber eats and door dash. After b ing unable to get shifts with door dash and driving to a red area that turned gray... I turned on my Uber eats and haven't really dashed since. Plus door dash will have me sitting for 30 minutes and give me two orders an hour and then nothing for an hour or more... While Uber eats has me stacked and moving. I'd rather be moving than sitting. In my area, Uber eats tips more and then minimum for door dash is $3.00. I got a new Uber eats update as a pro silver rated driver and I can now see where I am going in Uber eats like you can in door dash.

Kariman Vietzke true, and after the investigation is over, the customer still has the power to lower your rating to four points after giving the driver one star. This is what I don’t like about door dash; how could they prove that the customer claim was false, yet give him the power to lower my rating. I just find it disgusting when the customer gets his food then claims he never got it either because he didn’t like the food or just wanted to get a credit for free one. Customers like those should be permanently deactivated from the platform. Most importantly, they slow us down when they complain because then we have to log off the app and fill in the disputed form. Sucks.

I just tried door dash yesterday and I made $35 in 3 hours, not too bad, that’s about $11-12 an hour. I like the layout of door dash and it’s cool after 25 dashes, your able to pull out your money you make daily instead of weekly ! So if I make $60 a day, I could pull out. I haven’t tried Uber eats but I feel like door dash is more popular in my area so I’m gonna stick with it. Let me know if y’all want me to update y’all.

The bare minimum on door dash is not a minimum of 5.50 ... I did one for 4.50 yesterday and took a stacked order for two from canes which is the worst place to dash... in fact I’m also turning down canes orders too... I have done them for as low as 3.75 ... and these customers don’t tip... I turn down 90% of anything for less than five dollars. It has to be a short distance and a fast restaurant and a slow period or a stacked order.

I have the same issue, there are deliveries far away (relatively, it’s not actually that far) in the mountains. So you drive into the mountains to drop off and then you have to drive back to town side bc there aren’t any restaurants in that area.

Black and white military guy don’t tip. Usually 9 out 10 tip. Black rude lady tip 1 cent. Better not tip. She ordered 10 miles from me and I texted her kindly. It was a busy airport. I kindly texted her where I am and making sure her foods. I delivered earlier than estimated But she tipped me 1 cent. 9 out of 10 except her tipped me 15-20% of food ordered food. Her order was $50 and she tipped me 1 cent. I’m still feeling awful of her. If she did not tip me at all, it will be better feeling than 1 cent.
