Back in the day, I used to do a lot of arm chair mountain climbing, reaching a lot of summits like K2, Everest, Mt McKinley. All from the comfort of my slab. One thing I've learned is mountain climbing is A WHOLE lot like body building. It's not getting to the summit that declares you a winner, but if you can actually get back down to ground level, ALIVE. For the professional body builder, it's the same thing. Many body builders reach the top, only to become green boots, or worse yet, an eternal member of the knights of Rainbow Alley, that's when you slide off the face of Mt Everest into the abyss below, left up there forever as a reminder that nature doesn't mess around, and is never mocked. Pray for the solitude of attitude that the altitude is never too high, just our ambitions.

There's nothing that intra-workout will do that eating regular meals won't. All the same glucose, aminos, etc, will still be floating around in your blood from the last meal. Aminos are just pre-digested proteins, I personally just prefer to chew and swallow food. Maybe a couple of hours after the last meal you might be getting low so eating something could make sense if you're still training, but regular chow makes as much sense as a fancy overpriced supplement.

Since I’ve been following you Nick I’ve gotten so much stronger and thicker by doing your style of lifting “WITHOUT ANY INJURIES AT ALL!” That’s the whole idea and now I’m pressing weights slow and controlled that I NEVER in my freaking life thought I could handle like that and the craziest thing is I’m almost 43 and did bodybuilding on and off my entire life and know now the best style of training is like you and Mike Mentzer’s.
